Re: Knight Rider 2012
I'm guessing not, I asked this question on another thread and got no reply. Pretty sure like KR08 the project is now totally dead.

Re: Airwolf and Street Hawk, revisited
I loved and still love Airwolf, the Lady was a stunning vehicle. What others have said is absolutely right Airwolf is far darker than any of its contemparies, especially the original pilot.

Re: Lack of Merchandise
You can't please all the people all of the time, but with fans who have made it their job to be TV show production at least we could have had a show and not be left in limbo.

Re: Lack of Merchandise
Fair enough, from that it would seem its a good idea, Doctor Who is huge and getting bigger all the time, nearly 50 years it's been going. It's not that KR fans are a non-productive lot the amount of cars that get built prove that, its just a wonder none of the fans went into TV or film production a...

Re: Lack of Merchandise
I stand corrected then.
So on the second point, would the various failed relaunches have been better if the KR fans had turn their love of the show into a career and helped relaunch the show successfully.

Re: Lack of Merchandise
Nope I meant the brand as a whole. I don't remeber much merchandise back in the day, maybe and annual and a strip in Look-in beyond on that I can't think of much. Where were the action figures, where were the original novels, where was the really cool KITT toy that used the same tech as Evil Kenival...

Lack of Merchandise
Been a while but I thought I come back, so i'll start with question or two. As far as I can see on the original release KR had very little merchandise, does anybody think this may harmed the public perception and longevity of the Brand. Alot of the other big Brands relied heavily on merchandise and ...

Re: why does it take so long to make a KNIGHT RIDER MOVIE?
Well I have a suggestion for you guys. My suggeston is 1. If you had control or KR/tv would you base it around the hoff version but with today's version. Or 2. Help spread the word about KR and it's superbness. 3. Write letters to NBC 4. Start Knight Rider Productions as a production company that p...

Re: Knight Rider and TRON
The ship effect is origianl to the film not added in during a later release, much like Prop houses there are sound effect libraries that companies use if they need things. Its likely the effect was created by an effects wizard for use in Battlestar, borrowed for Tron and KR later. I haven't go my so...

Re: why does it take so long to make a KNIGHT RIDER MOVIE?
Lets hope you're right about the 2012 date VK because nothing lasts forever not even famous TV Producers and without Glen around the film will be made either money grabbing Fim producers which will result in a product that is full of flashy effects, product placement and zero story or Professional F...

Re: why does it take so long to make a KNIGHT RIDER MOVIE?
Film making is a long and difficult process, Knight Rider has its own special problems with split rights, production company problems and apart for the inital series pretty much failure after failure with relaunches. I think KR:The Movie needs someone in charge who loves the show but won't be bogged...

Re: Enough Said!
Regardless of the OPs attitude its possible we are been a little over sensative here, I know TKR is looked down on by many KR fans but KRO looked pretty impressive and that was a Ferrari wasn't it? (I am willing to stand corrected its been a while since i've seen TKR) Maybe to have a future we need ...

Re: why wasn't KR08 successful?
Maybe its just not the right time for a remake, when KR was on orignally Action Heros with a high tech spin were all the rage , currently the requirement is for emotion charged family stories Knight Rider doesn't fit in with that. KR08 may not have been brilliant but it had to better than all the Ta...

Re: spin off series of knight rider
Until we get the huge general public intrest the likes of whats been seen for NuBSG in the US and Doctor Who in the UK the spin-offs will remain stuck in the vaults and you'll only be able to get hold of them from less ligitimate sources. If KR took of in a big way again somehow then you'd be able t...

Re: knight rider movie
I think how well the A-Team movie does could have a big influence on what happens with Knight Rider going forward. Of course with a big screen movie stuck in developement hell and now delayed till 2012 its easy to get down hearted. Maybe if the production crews got a move on and did something it wou...

Re: If A Team movie succeeds, maybe KR will be made!
I think comparing the idea of the KR to the A Team is good one they both had their day and are now possibly making a decent come back. Not sure if comparison to Transformers and Iron Man is valid they have never really gone away What we could do with for the KR movie is some teasers or promo picture...

Re: Why is the KR fandom so divisive?
I think that with a couple of obvious exceptions the KR board is actually quite relaxed, if you want to see real fighting go and look at the BSG boards Old Series vs New Series is pretty bloody, same with Classic Doctor Who vs Nu Doctor Who. Of course for a real good smack down DS9 vs B5 has to be t...

Re: So do any of you expect some new KR show decades from now?
Thats a bit harsh since it did as well as KR08 has, and better than KR2000 and Season 4 of the original. I like TKR but then again been a Brit I can see what they were doing with TKR. It had all the struff people complain was missing from KR08, links to the original show, FLAG, Nods to the original ...

Re: So do any of you expect some new KR show decades from now?
if you calculate the gaps between the various versions then the average is a seven year wait so we are looking at about 2015 before the next one.
