I always thought they missed an excellent story opportunity by not having Garth and KARR team up. That would have been a "movie of the week." Or even would have made for a really awesome finale.

Technically, KITT's already been a 3000GT/Stealth. That's what the base car was for Knight Rider 2000. They styled it to sort of look like a Banshee, as most KR fans on this site know, they started with the Stealth. I actually found two of the KITT's from the retro series in my podunk's Wal-mart. Which is nice because I only managed to get one of the First Editions 2012 KITT's last year.
