Knight Customs Season 1/2 Pod Buttons - THEY"RE READY!

Post by knightdriver » Sun Sep 24, 2006 8:01 am

Well, They are done at last!!!!!!! :-D

After an extra week of testing, we are proud to announce that
our new pod buttons assemblies are ready to go!

Let me say that Joe has done one hell of a job with these. He designed
the entire units on the computer, then had the parts made via rapid
prototyping. (Same method as Bo McDonalds BO BOX Voice Box). He
also had custom circuit boards made to his specs. These are all
professionally done and work great! Nothing home made!

Button caps are all laser cut, reverse engraved, and painted the
proper colors on the back. All the fonts and lettering are exact to
the series car too. There are no labels to fall off or fade in the sun.
These are there for life! We are also offering 27 different button
selections so you can customize the look of your choice.

A list of buttons and images will be posted soon for you to choose
which buttons you would like as well as which location you want them
installed in.

These are made to look and function just as the series car did. When
a button is pressed, the red LED lights and makes a tone sound. The
yellow and green LEDs are on constantly. In addition, you will be able to
wire up each button to a function of your choice! How cool is that! 8)
All buttons are momentary buttons. Not latching.

The resin pod base comes with small molded in clips which can be
mounted to your pod faces by making small notches in them. Full
instructions and templates will be included with every set.

These are not made to fit any particular manufacturers pod unit and
are considered a universal so some customizing may be needed to your
pod face.

These will be available in two price ranges.

$450.00 for the full pod button pair. - NO tone board.

$600.00 for the full set with tone boards wired up and included

Both these are introductory prices which will be good through Christmas
2006!

There is also a cheaper version of these on the way too! They will light
and look just like these although the buttons will not be functional. They
will basicly be for show for those who want the perfect look but on a
budget! Those will be available soon.....

Full instruction sheets will be included to show you how to install, wire
up additional functions and so on.

Here are a few pictures of the prototype boards taken today! I have a
video of these in action as well. Check the linkes below.

Here's the link for the video. It takes a couple minutes to load... Just click mpg-0077 and abracadabra- instand tones. It should be 16 seconds long...

Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions regarding these. Coming in the
next week or two, 3 versions of the top countdown sequencer. Crafted in
the same fashion as these pod units and designed to work with anyones
voicebox! I'll post more on the soon! :-D
