James,
Nope, I still have the box it came in, and tore it apart...still no DVD. I also took the car out of the box and there's nothing there either. It's OK, really. It happens.

Dad says to check the flap inside the box whichever one that is the packing or the KITT box. But I guess it doesn't matter.
Great to hear you like it Imranbecks. I like to display it in my room because it looks so nice.

I took it out tonight to watch it in the dark and it looks awesome. Even the yellow lights look good, but I'm going to dig in my electronics bin to see if I have some white LEDs to substitute like you did.

Great stuff.

Oh, BTW, I checked the flaps and still nothing there.

Having this KITT R/C really brings out the kid in me....lol!!!

One problem though, wanna check with those who already have the Hitari KITT... the scanner on my KITT r/c does not light up while it is in motion... It only lights up when the car has stopped moving.... Is this normal???

Scanner

Post by corlando52 » Tue Oct 10, 2006 3:28 pm

The scanner on mine comes on as soon as I turn the car on and stays on the entire time. The FOG lights only come on while the car is in motion. At least that's the way mine works.

Here's some of my collection, before the Hitari and Ertl 1/18...

I've posted the voicebox here before, so I won't bore you with that again...

Yup... False alarm.. My KITT R/C is working fine.. The scanner lights up whilst it is in motion!!! So cool! The batts were low, thats why it did not light up while it was moving earlier.. After I changed to a fresh set of AA batteries, the car moves so fast... skidding here and there!!!

By the way, James_kr, I have sent you a message. I'm getting from you another KITT R/C for my brother... Check your inbox...

I have it... James_kr and corlando52 also has it..

Its really a great r/c of KITT.... Perhaps the best one available right now.. I recommend it to all Knight Rider fans.

You can still get it from James_kr.. He is selling a few at Ebay. In fact, I have just bought another one for my brother...

What surprises me though is that James is the only one at Ebay selling the KITT R/C..... It has not been really "commercialised" yet.... :D

Anyways, I've sent you a msg James, check your inbox... Cheers!

James is OK

Post by corlando52 » Thu Oct 12, 2006 4:51 pm

And I'd like to add that James is a really great guy to deal with. He is responsive to any questions or concerns you might have, and ships out immediately. He was also nice enough to come up with a cheaper shipping cost.

Yup... I agree! If not for him, I probably would not have been able to get the KITT R/C..... Thanks James!!!

In my effort in trying to spread the news about the Hitari KITT R/C, I emailed Joe, the webmaster for http://www.hollywood-diecast.com about it together with a pic of my Hitari KITT last night... And today, he added the pic of the Hitari KITT that I sent to him on the main page of the hollywood diecast website!!

With the heading at the website dated 10/12/06 "That's One Big KITT!"... Check it out here (scroll down a bit at the website to view it) >>> http://www.hollywood-diecast.com/

I am happy to have helped and found it so everyone can get a really cool addition to their collection. Whats interesting is the fact that it has william daniels voice. That's why people seam to want the Kenner KITT along with its age and how much of a collectable it is.

And yeah Dad and I use foam to protect the KITT and to also lighten the box to save money on shipping.

The news spreads!

i get a small comission because there is a lot of work involved packing them putting them in wrapping going into the post office and filling in forms. you have to make a little bit. i am selling them to you at normal price.

Sorry, it was more a joke on imranbecks's obvious enthusiam on the RC cars. :D I certainly didn't mean to say anything bad about you making them available to more people. It sounds like you're doing a good job
