Knight Rider Board Game

Post by trvsglr » Tue Aug 29, 2006 11:29 pm

Anyone ever play the Knight Rider board game?? I bought it off of Ebay like a week ago and got a message from the seller and he said he just sent it out today. I can't wait to get it, and i hope its fun to play.

I have a Hungarian edition, which is probably completely different from the English version but I have it and was playing it with my parents when I was a kid :)

Yes, I most certainly do! I got mine as a Christmas present in 1983 and still have it to this day.

:kittspin:

The side of box says that it's "2 to 4 players" and "Ages 7 to 14", but that most certainly won't apply around here!

Of course, now that I'm older (and somewhat uglier), there's a *real* Trans Am in the garage to play with, so the board game isn't played with anymore ...

My brother had the game when we were kids. I wish we still had it.

Well its a bit late for me then. Since your age says 106 I have no idea what to think of that.

I think board games have gone out I mean its a lot of work to get them setup sometimes and to get people to play with you. Now you can just download the board game and play it with people on your computer.

My brother likes Knight Rider and so does my girlfriend. I have a Dukes Of Hazzard board game that we play often so hopefully this one is just as fun.

I have this game for a year or so, also winning it off ebay.
I find it fun to play, and my 13 year old daughter will play it with me anytime.

I don't have an Ebay account i gave my brother money and he got it for me. In the description of the game the seller says there are 3 cars that come with it. Well, there are suppose to be 5 and he dosent say that. Right away im suppose to know that when he says theres 3 cars with it im like oo ok theres suppose to be 5!!! I never played it before!!!! So all because he said there are 3 cars with the game i aparently can't do anything. I'm missing 6 of the round trouble spot tokens too.

I put my game on ebay for two weeks and no one bought it. Maybe I should try it again. I believe it has all the pieces! Maybe closer to the holdiays.

I have it, and it still has all the pieces. It was quite possibly the worst board game I ever played. Not even the very nice box artwork could redeem this turkey.

As an idea, maybe you guys could find an IRC chat room and one person would be the game master or whatever and when someone makes a move, everyone move pieces representing players on their copy of the game, and you could play via internet that way. :)

GM = Game Master

GM: Player A's turn. Roll dice

Player A: I got a 6. Move forward 6. Drew a card. Card says move back 3 spaces.

Everyone moves Player A's piece representing that player on their own game boards 6 spaces forward and 3 spaces back (or 3 spaces forward).

Etc.

That would be one way to play the game. :)

I bought it at an auction for $15 dollars. I was missing two of the $1,000 trouble spots but I made up my own. My girlfriend and I love playing the game especially the chicken challenges.

how do you play a Knight Rider board game?

It's pretty simple. You and whoever else is playing(up to 4 people) pick a colored car as you game piece. You roll the die to see who gets to go first. The person with the highest number gets to be kit, which is parked in the back of the semi in the center of the board. They roll the die and move kit around the board like you would with any board game. There is trouble spots which are little red circles which only kitt can land on and collect. On the bottom is a number value which ranges from $1,000-$5,000. The other player who is not kitt has to chase kitt down by rolling the die and catching up to him. If they catch up to kitt and land on his spot it's time for a chicken challenge. Each player has two cards with their cars color on them. The person who is playing as kitt uses the kitt cards. The two cards show a car swerving to the right and the other shows it swerving to the left. On the count of three you pick a card either right or left and lay it down on the table facing the opponents card. The person who is playing as kitt wants to get into a headon collosion with the cards. I.E. Both players swerve to the left thus hitting each other. If that happens the person that is Kitt continues to play as kitt moving around the board picking up the trouble spots until he is challenged again. If the person who is playing as kitt swerves to the left and the opposite player swerves to the right. Ownership of kitt changes hands and the winner of the chicken challenge gets to be kitt and try and collect as many trouble spots as they can. The winner is whoever has the most points. When all the trouble spots are collected the game is over and you add all your trouble spots up and whoever has the highest value or if the value is tied whoever has the most trouble spots wins the game.

Hm, intriguing. That'd be pretty funny If Michael just got up and handed KITT over to anyone that happened to get around him. hahah.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"
