There are a lot of scenes like that in Knight Rider. It was obviously cheaper to reuse footage wherever possible than shoot it again, although sometimes it meant really glaring mistakes, if you know where to look.
Eg, two in Trust Doesn't Rust. Near the beginning when we see Michael driving KITT there's a closeup of KITT's dash with Michael's hands on the wheel, and he has red sleeves poking out from his leather jacket. The infamous red turtleneck strikes again. In the next shot when we see Michael's face and body, he's wearing a blue shirt, not red.
Later when KARR is ramming into a building (a bank?) you see an interior shot of KARR driving himself up to the building, but it's actually an early shot of KITT driving himself, since you can see the early KNIGHT 2000 wording on the voice modulator.

very true! i could argue the same about some guys too.FuzzieDice wrote:Let me tell you from my own experience (not that I'm married to a car but sometimes it seems like it!) - If you marry a car, it'll be a relationship of you work hard and earn the money, and he spends it.LadyV2000 wrote: I'm thoroughly convinced that someday, somehow, I'll marry that car!

I think that's Glen Larson's trademark. He did the exact same thing to Battlestar Galactica ( not the new one on SciFi, but the old '70s series with Lorne Greene ).Lost Knight wrote:If you watch episodes a little closer, you'll notice reused footage in many episodes. They actually had David Hasselhoff wear a red turtle-neck for that episode to keep continuity with the reused pilot footage.
If you don't make a difference, you are not the Knight Rider.

I dare you to walk up to Dryden and call him a 'she'. Then again, he'd probably just sit there staring at you.Lost Knight wrote:Heh heh, well technically it would be, "'she' spends it." Cars are generally referred to as females with common phrases like: "Come on baby," "She's dyin' on me," "I hope she's gonna make it," etc.

Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

My roomate would strongly agree. she says the same about her car. i cant say the same about mine, but i think thats because i always end up having to share its and its not "truly" mine.FuzzieDice wrote:I think a lot of cars have their own personality traits of sorts. You just got to be quite close to them to understand them, even though they can't talk.
But I can imagine if someone called KITT a "She"...
KITT: "I beg your pardon!"
LOL!
And i think K.I.T.T would be highly offended if someone called him a "she" especially with how proud he is of himself.
