KITT'S TIRE SCREECHING SOUND EFFECTS

Post by Keon2005 » Thu Feb 03, 2005 7:41 am

Hey did you notice that the sound effects editors of KR always used the same tire screeching sound effects when KITT sped off. If you have a good ear for detail this would be noticed. They also used this same sound effect on other shows of the 70s and 80s. I this sound effect was originally used in the original "IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT " movie when Sydney Poitier is being chased by these guys in a Plymouth. And mind you that movie debuted in the mid 1960s.

The sound effects being repeated all the time must be a fad for sound effect technicians in the 1980's. The same thing was done for bullets bouncing off KITT and Airwolf.
If you don't make a difference, you are not the Knight Rider.
