Yea, I was definitely thinking that would be a good idea. I'd love to be able to sponsor something like that with a prize to the best concept...
I'm kinda hoping that it isn't a simple image such as the frame from the quicktime video... I really like how the Battlestar Galactica box set embraced the Clyons imagery, it would be nice for this set to do something similiar.

Well being the Owner and Administrator of the site I think this is something I feel comfortable discussing. In reality, none of these sites have rights to use the images on their pages, but the use of them tends to fall into the fair use. This is cause none of us are making any profit from it and we are clearly defining on the info pages that we do not hold the copyright, that it is Universal.
It's still a bit of a grey area to be honest. However, no mock ups that we make will be used or have the quality for sale they will just be fan based art. And supporting art of the fan base is something we always try to support.

Ok board members... Maybe this could be the first suggestion for the boxset cover art. I'd like it very simple ... like this.
It's my first post here with image so I'll hope it works. Image was made rather quickly but turned out quite fine ... as my vision of the box. One thing I thought would be different was that Knight-logo (which can be seen in KITT's steering wheel and was posted on this forum by vampire knight (thanks for that superb job)) to be originally a white FLAG-logo as seen in the FLAG semi, but I couldn't find any image that would've been good enough to be used.
Other boxsets should then use similar design only changing the number of season. On the back side (not visible in image) could be the listing of episodes. Tell me what do you think about it...

Beautiful work, mate!!! Well done. I hope we get something as good as that.
I agree with Neil on the reflective scanner. That would be the icing on the cake.

Hey guys... Thanks for the overwhelming positive feedback
BTW... I found an image that could be used as the FLAG -logo, but it requires quite a bit of manual work/re-drawing.
A very good idea... It could work. I will do it and if it doesn't get too crowded for things in the cover I'll post the result here then (or should there be an official thread for these things?).KITTfan wrote:One suggestion, perhaps golden stripes would look good in it like in the Knight semi trailer

KnightRiderFinland I'd be very keen to see similar ideas of yours for the other 3 seasons.. I too like the understated look of this coverart. Would you have a nice higher-res image of that you could send me?
Cheers
