Only about 2% of April's gadgets worked, and made it on to other shows, so she was a crappy mechanic, she was basic eye candy for the males. Bonnie was the better mechanic, and the relatively better character, too.

Yeah, April made all those "one-hit-wonder" gadgets At least Bonnie's stuck. I think the only one April made that was used in more than one episode was Silent Mode

And the pyroclastic lamination. (Knight Flight to Freedom) which when it was introduced, wasn't even a proven technology. In fact, Michael and KITT were almost crispified. (Ring of Fire)
