What would I do?????
I would sneak out late at night..er knight....and grab it and take off and you would never hear from me again LMAO!!!
But the initial response would be a heart attack and seizure. Then after you guys picked me up and rushed me to the hospital and I recover....then the great Kitt robbery would commence! *evil laugh*

Yes, that's true. SPM does cost a bunch of money over & above the T/A they started with.
But a jump-car T/A?
They would use pop-rivets to make it.
2nd-unit prop cars look like total (poop) up close. They wouldn't have to spend the cash to make it look good.
Look at what jumped over the semi at the end of "Knight/Phoenix." I don't know what that was, but it wasn't a T/A.
And the "Juggernaught" car that was smashed? It wasn't even a T-top car. (And we saw that one up close!)
Then there's the models. They created at least a few new miniatures for almost every model-stunt they did. I don't see any big issue with building an SPM-car there.
-----------------------------
The point I'm trying to make is that they could have affordably jumped a SPM car if they'd wanted to. It would have taken a bit more money than usual, but it could have been done without making a total mess of a $250,000 car.

yes you have a point there. They could do it all with models. Hadn't thought of that angle. Then there's the models. They created at least a few new miniatures for almost every model-stunt they did. I don't see any big issue with building an SPM-car there.
