Weren't the Comtron secrets Tanya stole about some bubble memory chip? Didn't April say in Soul Surivor something about KITT having bubble memory as well so maybe it indeed was some "Knight technology" Tanya stole from Comtron

If Kitt were a jeep I can already see how hard I'd be laughing seeing a maniquin represent Michael as he turbo boosts and the fro swaying ever so lightly in the wind as the maniquins head bobs left to right.

If the show used a Jeep the show would not have made it past the first few episodes. Remember Knight Rider was introduce alongside the 1982 Trans Am, which was the release of the third gen f bodies.

I think it mainly just had to do with the slick look. I mean I cant picture a jeep going 200 MPH a Trans Am on the other hand, looked slick enough.

Although it would be cool to have KITT in a Jeep on occasion, I don't think it would be a great idea to be his primary form.

KITT as a Jeep? I do remember an episode which KITT's suspension was lifted to be offroad to catch a saboteur during a motorcycle race. Combine that with the Convertible mode, and......um......that would be as close to a jeep as he can get. Unless Daisy Duke is driving it..lol
