question about KITT
Dose any one know why when KITT gets shot at or bomb dose it look like the bonet is open and window screen seems to be set back

The nose used in these effects is hollow and there are many tiny holes in which small explosives are placed. When Kitt is under attack, the stuntmasters activate the explosives which give off sparks and it looks like a bomb explodes on Kitt's shell or bullets are richocheting from it.
This nose is larger than the normal one and thus it does not fit the Trans Am correctly.
