This may be a rotating ad which disappears soon, but the front page of cnet.com has an ad for their L.A. Auto show coverage:
There is no further mention of Knight Rider in their coverage that I can find.

I wouldn't bet on it, I think they're using it more as a marketing angle to say, "If you liked KITT, come see what the newest cars of the future look like" sort of thing.
Not the best idea really, let's face it the K.I.T.T. car was one of a kind and nothing we've developed now has surpassed the design appeal.
I will be attending the Los Angeles Auto Show probably next weekend or so, if there is any Knight Rider business there I will let you know.
