Knight Rider theme (Toni Nummela remix)

This my own version of the much-loved Knight Rider theme. It was done almost completely in Propellerhead Reason 3.0. I've been doing music with computers for over 10 years now and also many versions of the theme. This is finally the version I'm almost complete satified with.

I've tried to have some influences of Chris Walden (the Orchestral version) and the original feel in some content. I also tried to add some punch and toughness to the theme without losing the hero-feel of the tune. The overall style got some influences from The Crystal Method and maybe some from a Finnish hero-metal band called Teräsbetoni (Don't ask :-)).

One important element was to try to keep the ticking wah-guitar similar to the original version. I think I did a good job with that. The guitar you are hearing is not a sample but a soft synth version made in Reason from a scratch by me.

The last thing I tried to accomplish was to bring something new to the theme. That's why it doesn't follow the original version in every beat.

But enough of the talk. Lets hear it. Hope you'll enjoy.

This theme is some sweet sh*t..... very sweet sh*t...I wonder what computer software you used the make that..... And I perosonally think that Konami should take that remix and put some DDR dance steps to that... Man, I would dance to that every night.....[/b]

I think it would be cool just to hear it in the movie as it is.

I still have the song, and keep it on my iPod.

you really did a great job with it, Toni Nummela.

I first listened to it when it was put on here and to be honest, I wasn't too sure of it, but now I put it on my player and listen to it all the time.

Indeed, great work!

up! i´ve reupped the thread because i think that it will be more "visible" to the new users... and for that users...

dont miss out this remix of the main theme of our favourite series, it´s the best tribute from my point of view to the magistral theme from Stu Phillips :)

Thank you again, Tony ! :)

I too loved the theme. And we at KRO would like to thank him for donating it for our podcast! It's used as the opening/ending for the podcast. There's also been some other clips he's done and donated which we use in the podcast.

Toni, thank you for all your work! Your rendition has always been one of my favorite reworks of the theme. :)
