Yep, Kate & Kitt belong together.
In my little "KR" universe there's another female car for Kitt, though, it's called Katt and she's an ex stunt-car. She and Kitt have four kids (daughter Kara and sons Kitz, Karb and Kiti), don't ask me how!
In fact I have all those cars as metallic/plastic miniatures, Katt is black with golden firebird on the hood, Kara is metallic red with monster wheels, Kitz has huge multi-turbo engine instead of his hood, Karb is the silent guy, he's no special. Little Kiti is the rascal of the family, he wants to be like his father.
Me and my little sisters are a bit crazy, we have our strange sense of humor. In fact we had a inside-joke about a big AI truck called "S.H.I.T." meaning Super Hyper Intelligent Truck. He's not very bright, whenever his driver is in trouble (somehow the comlink is stuck open) and he shouts "oh sh!t" the truck comes crashing through a wall and says: "did you call me?"
Ha ha! Well, it's not as funny here as it was live. :I
