I have the old metal lunch box. I got it for my birthday last year.

I used to have the Knight 2000 talking car but I gave it to my little brother a long time ago.
KITT project is on again!

You mean the cutoff challenge racing set? That's one of my favorites. I love to run Kitt in the dark and watch his scanner zipping around. :D

the old jap kitt dashboard, eh? You might want to spell out the whole word Japanese, to avoid any trouble about racial slurs.

And another thing, you really should try to make both your posts into one.

My favorite was the KITT rough rider car. It was a Trans Am body on top of this monstrous motorized 4X4 chassis. It was a cool toy.

To bad my Aunt crushed it by sitting down on the cough where I had left it. Oh well :)

hehe I never had the Kitt Rough Rider but I do have the Bandit's T/A.

Funny though, I never had much in KR toys when I was a kid (I guess being a girl doesn't help) but I did used to cut out pictures of the toys and any KR piccy I could find and stuck them all in a scrapbook. I still have it somewhere...

I had the Mattel 1983 Voice Car & Michael Knight action figure and the Rough Riders 4x4 K.I.T.T. Unfortunately both of those had been thrown out over the years but I still have the Michael Knight figure. I currently have another Voice Car that I bought off eBay a few years ago for $40.00 with no bottom battery cover or figure, but didn't care because I already had the figure. I remember being a child in Toys "R" Us in NY and seeing the remote control K.I.T.T.s on the shelves when I originally bought the Voice Car. I also currently have the Corgi K.I.T.T. die-cast model.

I have a talking Kenner KITT thats in great condition and it still talks. It also includes the Michael Knight doll. It's great as a conversation piece during parties and gatherings. People often wonder how it talks, considering its age. A great toy to have, only ranking second to owning the actual KITT replica.

I used to have something called the Turbo Booster which consisted of a small die-cast KITT and a device where you put KITT in the forward slot and pushed hard at the other end sending the car streaking across the floor.Of course, since it was called the Turbo Booster I would launch the car at various inclines off my bed or my desk. The paint job on that die-cast KITT got chipped and scuffed up REAL quickly.
If only I had a nickel for every time someone cut me off on the parkway and wished for a Turbo-Boost or Micro-jammer...

I used to have that too!!! I lost the turbo booster thing but I still have the die-cast KITT. The die-cast KITT came with a nice detailed dashboard in sticker form.. The car is not in good condition though with the front windshield broken and one of the rear tyres are missing.... The black paint is also peeling but I recently repainted it with a black paint marker...

This is the toy>>Image

And here is how the car I have looks like now. As u can see, it looks terrible in the pics. But actualy, they don't look that bad in person..LOL>>>

Trust me my man....it looks pretty bad hahaha. Fortunately these toys pop up every now and then in ebay in mint (MISP) condition. And they're not expensive either. :D

The model kits from the 80's, are they bigger than the reissues that we have now?

The original MPC kit is the same scale as the reissued AMT kit (1:25 scale). BUT...there are big differences. Only the 2 original MPC box sets with the "Win a Corvette" logo and the "Golden Opportunity kit" logos are authentic. The MPC box set with the "Features Authentic Details" logos DOES NOT have the vents behind the front fenders anymore. The tail light assembly for the earlier MPCs are true to the show, the reissue's tail lights are from a 1985 and up Firebird (Ughhh!!!). And the interior of the car is not as detailed as the earlier MPCs. Same goes for the reissued AMT kit, the body does not have the vents anymore, making the original MPCs more accurate to the series, and hence more valuable. Take note that ONLY the MPC boxes that have the Corvette and "Golden Opportunity Kit" are accurate. The second MPC release with the "Features Authentic Details" does not anymore conform to the original design.

Another thing worth mentioning is...all MPC kits have clear tinted plastic parts for the windshields and t-tops. The AMT reissue has the windshields and t-tops clear with no tint whatsoever.
