UK Knight Rider Meet - A Day Out To Billing Aquadrome
Just got back from a wonderful American car show near Northampton, here in the UK.
Despite the changing weather, the sun mostly stayed out and there was a wide variety of cars ranging from Mustangs, Dodges, and Corvettes.
Far more importantly was the Pontiacs present. The Trans Ams especially.
And boy was there a number there. Well over 20 dotted around the show.
Kudos to the owners of various KITT replicas who organised the meet up and turned up. All of them looked excellent, and special thanks to Rob for letting me sit inside his car.
Was also good to speak to fellow Knight Rider fans, including Sarfraz and K.I.T.T. from this very forum. Although I didn't meet him, I also understand Vinny was there too - the star of Radio 1 yesterday.
I have to say it was great to wander around looking at all the replicas, and for me on my first visit to the show it gave a great buzz. I had a great time.
So once again congrats to those of you who turned up and showed that the Knight Rider fandom is still strong in the UK - over 20 years on.
Here are some images from the show taken by a camera phone. Apologies for the poor quality, but I shall post more and better quality ones once I work out how my new digital camera exports the photos I took. lol
The show continues tomorrow if you fancy popping along to Billing Aquadrome. Entry is £10 per car.
UPDATE: Got my pics uploaded now, thanks to neps for hosting.

Really good day out. It was seriously strange meeting some of people behind the user names...sorry Sith for taking soo long to figure out who you were ( probably in awe of the KITT cars on show) hope you had a look around the entire nationals. There was a huge black semi in the middle of the park!
Most bizarre experience was coming back to the KITT's after taking a look around the nationals. Everyone of them had their scanners on and were being drove around the pontiac owners club....looked so surreal.
Hope to have pics developed (35mm cam) once I get back from the Goodwood festival of speed next week.
Wonder how many camera phones now have the UK nationals KITT's on them

Didnt see you sith! I didnt know you were at the event untill Sarfraz told me you were there.
It was a great event! The best one yet, as within our Knight Rider section (part of the pontiac owners club) we had a total of 10 replicas! and those of whom came for the photo call later on!
I have full pictures and video of the days events! Which i will be putting on Knight Rider Uk as soon as i finish editing the crap out lol.
Maybe next year sith.

I'm surprised there are so many Trans Ams over in the UK, let alone KITT replicas! I'd have thought we'd have more than that over here in Australia! I'm having trouble finding just one KITT replica! It's funny to think that those sorts of cars are popular over there. Then again, I suppose people would have HAD to import something fast, seeing as no real muscle cars were ever built there.

Hang on though, you're giving me examples of SUPER expensive sports cars. I mean, your average person can't afford a Lotus, let alone a Mclaren F1! The Trans Am was an affordable, standard configuration RWD V8-powered 2-door vehicle constructed by a mainstream manufacturer, that looked dammit-nice, an went like a shower of poo off a chrome shovel. Just like we get things like this:

well if your coming down the scale then you could have any ford cosworth, be it escort, granada or sierra.....All very fast even by todays standards. and now of course there is the focus RS. Dont get me wrong I wasnt bitching....just didnt want everyone to get the impression that we all drive around in 900cc austin mini's.
Or if you are looking to V8 power plants then the rover sd1 had a healthly 175 bhp from its V8 lump and the little MGB had a V8 as well.
They all come out fo the wood work if you think about it.

Page looks nice Nick! Thanks for sharing your photos with us!
May I make one suggestion? If you're going to put thumbnails, make sure they're not 600x480 in dimensions and over 200 KB in size. You should have your thumbnails at the proper size, not larger and scaled down, thats a sure way to kill both your bandwidth and the viewers.
