How did KITT do it????

Post by imranbecks » Thu May 06, 2004 12:47 am

I was just wondering, with all the buttons on the upper console of KITT, how did KITT even manage to go into convertible mode??? Where did all the buttons go? Its just not possible.... Are they foldable  ? Anyone has any theories of how it is done?

Convertible is another KITT car than hero car.

They build him for four season like Super Pursuit Car.

or more importantly, how do you fold solid glass into the trunk of the car ?

if you look closely when KITT is going into, or coming out of C mode you will notice the roof section is totally plastic, i think its in out of the woods when you see a red handle at the front instead of an overhead console aswell !

all the magic of hollywood.

I have a question with regards to SPM: How the hell did they get KITT upto 300mph?

To me that's less of a mystery than how the car was able to make itself jump as if it were using a ramp.

In Knight Rider terms: Maybe there was some sort of an internal powerful spring in the car that cld enable the car to jump into the air... (just my theory) :D

According to KITT blueprints they used rocket boosters.

I think I still have those prints somewhere.

A powerful hydraulic suspension setup with rocket boosters perhaps?
