The New KITT?

Post by KnightRider2000 » Tue Mar 30, 2004 6:26 pm

Watch this video:

http://www.acura.com/preowned/modlib/cp ... type=Video

Do you think the car or style of car in the video would make a good modern KITT?

:o Wow! I must admit, I was really skeptical at first because of the make but once I saw the video... it looks just like KITT! In my opinion, it's the best option for the "new KITT" yet, as far as looks go, at least. Thanks for the find!

Suggestion

Can't see the video, but I guess from the title it's a Honda NSX.

Always thought my car would be a good idea.

Yes, It's a Honda NSX. But here in North America, it is known as Acura NSX.

I guess if you were going to buid KITT from a Japanese car, then the NSX would be the most appropriate! I own an RSX, it's cool, but I still think that a new KITT concept should use the new Corvette concept.
You just can't go wrong with American Muscle!!

But I still think that they should still use an '82-84 T/A. Keep it original! KITT will always be a 1982 Trans Am in my heart! 8)

And don't forget David's already been behind the wheel of the Acura NSX a red one on Baywatch Nights.

It's dark, and the screen is about as large as my big toe....

Anything bigger, or any still shots of the car?

Why not the Lamborghini Murcielago? It's low, angular and we all know it's fast.

That didn't even take me to a nsx, just a preowned area and the car in the preowned was the same as what I linked... Darn Acura, makes it hard to show the car.

The new Acura NSX does not have flip up headlights anymore. Those lights are out of style to mostly everyone. To me they are always in style.

The Acura/Honda NSX would definitely be perfect as the new KITT . . .

I concur. Just change the nose.

Although... I prefer the original Knight 2000.

Oh, wait, ew! The back! It's so... looong! KITT doesn't have a bubblebutt! Now that I see the whole thing still like that I say go with the Corvette instead. Sorry guys :P

Maybe you'll change your mind when you see it with KITT's scanner.

They tried this car on baywatch nights ,the only difference was the car they uesd was red!....and David Hasselhoff os far too tall for a short car like that which could only lead to hernyated disc and muscle strains!

For my tastes, the Acuras are still too exotic looking for KITT. Too flashy.

I agree its not a good Kitt car though I have seen it in person up close the pictures make the tail look longer than it is personally. I saw the pictues then the car. Kinda funny though it lower than my camaro so it wouldn't be good for Mr H to use as Kitt.

The car is so dated...its been around forever. A new one is due in the near future, though. The current NSX is anything but perfect for the new KITT...its just so old and although I love the NSX its not American Muscle =)
