Everyone's funny Moment

Post by K.I.T.T » Wed Aug 28, 2002 2:18 pm

Im sure this has been asked before...but hey im bringing it up again.
Just wondered what everyone's favorite funny part in Knight Rider was???
Mine must be in dialog between Michael and K.I.T.T in Ten Wheel Trouble when Michael tells Devon about what's going in the semi for there Convoy

Michael "Devon Its going to be alright"

Devon "But the foundation mobile unit to haul produce..really Michael i don't know how you talk me into it"

Michael "Don't blame me Devon you told me never to do anything you never want to do"

Devon "Well that's the way i've always thought in till now"

Michael "you'll get used to it"

Devon "and what produce is it?"

Michael "Onions"

Devon "onions!!!!!! really Michael in case of any accidents the smell will last for months!!!"

Michael "Well if you whistle or ya put a pin in your mouth i wont have to watch a grown man cry....i've got to go Devon"

Devon "Yes just as well.....Good Luck Michael"

Michael "Thank you Devon"

KITT "Michael i've come to understand your humor but don't you think you are being a little rough on Devon"

Michael "NO!!!"

KITT "Thank you for you prompt anwsner"

K.I.T.T

facial expressions are classic on that scene i guess it helps in this part!!

I love this thread topic, and never tire of reading people's favourite comic scenes. I liked the 'onions' dialogue too - mostly because of Kitt's deadpan 'Thank you for your prompt answer', after Michael answers 'No' as he slams the driver's door
In fact, Kitt's dialogue - his 'Kitticisms' - usually features in my 'favourite funny moments' posts. He had a magnificent talent for one-liners and barbed comments - even reviews on nostalgia websites comment on that fact, and I doubt any of the reviewers watched the show very recently.

I caught a good example of Kitt's acid observations in 'Knight Sting' recently, but can't recall the episode well enough to quote - he was offering Michael his opinion of a Hawaiian shirt. Can anyone help?

Got one I can remember, from season two. Closing tag of 'Ring of Fire', almost as the credits appear and the theme starts:

April: "Dogs?" *repeating Kitt's list of the physical and mental assualt he had to endure*

Michael:"Wait a minute, I was the one attacked by the dogs. What? You don't believe me? *pause* You wanna see my wounds??"

April: "No!"

Soul Survivor, Michael's convertible runs out of gas and he's trying to trade it for "Elmer's" junker. Elmer thinks KITT's new portable body is a TV:

Elmer: Throw in 68 dollars and that little TV set there and you got a deal.

Michael: I can't throw in the TV.

Elmer: I've been wanting a little TV like that for years.

Michael: But you don't understand. It's not really a TV.

Elmer: It looks like a little TV.

Michael: Look at me, I am an honest man. I will trade you the convertible, 68 dollars, you give me your address and I'll send you a little TV just like that one right to your very own home. What do you say?

Elmer: I thought you said it wasn't a little TV.

Michael: Oh.

I don't remember what episode it was from, but there's a part where this supermarket guy who's handing out flyers keeps pestering KITT, and referring to him as "Mr. Car"..

Anyone remember any dialogue from that?

Was that 'Knight of the Chameleon'? If so: "Are you really a talking car?" Kitt: "No, I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears"

Michael: "Kitt, they're still shooting at us!"

KITT: "Yes, thank you, Michael, but I noticed that myself."

I can't remember the exact dialogue, but it was from Knight By A Nose, where KITT gets busted for gambling, and asks Michael for money.

That is a close tie to Aunt Martha driving KITT and leading the cops on a wild goose chase in A Nice, Indecent Little Town.

personally, I've always liked this scene from Knight Sting:
Kitt- "Really Michael, I'm the Knight Industries Two Thousand, not a tomato on wheels"

How about Killer KITT and the altercation with the traffic warden? "It's not over yet lady!" and KITT opens his door and floors the woman. Now that was funny!

From 'Trust Doesn't Rust'

Kitt: "Michael, I'm speechless!"

Devon: "A likely story!"

KARR's always cracked me up in Trust doesn't Rust:

KARR: You wish to eat, you wish to drink, you wish to reproduce.

Tony and the Rev: Yeah..

KARR: Which one first?

And then there's my favourite line of all time: "I have no eggs. Perhaps you can direct me to a chicken!"

Photographer: Mmmm-mmmmmmhommmm-mm

Michael: Yeah, it's a nice car, huh.

Photographer: Mmmmm-hommommmmmm!

Michael: Yeah, it's got monitors, too.

Photographer: Mmmmmm-hmmm-mmommmmm

Michael: What?

Photographer: Mmmmm-hommmm!

KITT: Michael, she would like you to remove the gag.

Michael: Oh. (Turns to her and smiles) I don't think so. You know, this is the first conversation that I've had with you where I could get a word in edgewise.

Photographer: Mmm.

Devon "....the foundations establishing the Julie Rogers training fund" to which Michael,Bonnie and RC3 all applaud

Julie "I wont let you down" and hug's Devon but leaves some chalk marks on his suite

Michael "We know you will leave your mark on the competition"

RC3 "Looks like she's made a few already" referring to Devon's suite...Devon looking at it in disgust

Michael "well take it easy Devon you can always establish the foundation dry cleaning fund"

Devon "Ha bloody ha"

*giggles* I just remembered another one, from Custom KITT, where KITT's flat out refusing to go incognito for this case of theirs. So, Michael decides to play on KITT's sympathy for his own kind:

Michael: "You know, even as we talk, innocent, beautiful cars are being stolen and customized -- against their will."

KITT: A-Against their will..?

Michael: (looking all forlorn) Against their will...

KITT: Well then, we have no time to lose. Please proceed.

I liked the scenes which had an 'ad-libbed' feel to them. In 'Slammin' Sammy's Stunt Show Spectacular', Michael rattles off the full title of Sammy's show to Devon - and upon Devon's expression adds, 'Don't ask me to say that again!' I've always wondered if David might have had some trouble with that line in previous takes

And from that same scene:

Devon: "Bonnie's ready for you now"

Michael: "Ohhhhh, if only that meant what it sounded like!"

From the episode Out of the woods

Kitt "Hey Mickey who turned out the lights"

Kitt "Mickey, Mickey"

Michael "Please no no. Snap out of it"

Kitt "sorry Michael"
