Kustom car customizer George Barris passed away today. George was most famous for the 1966 Batmobile as well as other tv & movie cars. George was involved in building the Super Pursuit Mode KITT and the Convertible KITT for the 4th season of Knight Rider. I think I remember reading somewhere that he also designed the cars for power Rangers turbo which had to do with cars that season. I also remember on the 1960`s batman movie DVD he was driving the new batmobile before any episodes of the show were shot to the location when he got pulled over by the police. His one phone call to the studio cleared the matter.

And so, the golden era of Hollywood continues to slip away with only a legacy of excellency, forever preserved to film. May our and future generations hope to continue gathering enjoyment from their moments of existing upon this fragile Earth. For it still does not fully remove the bitter taste of the reality that is mortality and it's time tables that can not be bypassed.
