Fox Sports is hosting a coolest car elimination bracket, pitting pop culture cars against NASCAR. KITT made it to round 3, after beating Disney's Cars and then Talladega Nights.
But now KITT's in a bit of trouble: he's up against the General Lee. And the NASCAR audience is favoring the General. So let's show our support and make it a close match:

Re: Vote for KITT in Fox Sports elimination bracket
I think, just like the Bayou, KITT's a bit out of his home turf on this one. And, I'm going to sound bias on this. Sorry.
The General Lee stands for things like freedoms for ways to live life and tuning an engine to get the best you can out of your car. That show was about auto racing and having a fun time doing so. It was about standing up to authority that might not have looked kindly upon the things that the GL stood for. In other words, it has some NASCAR roots in common.
KITT is more about the 80's Silicon Valley and a California lifestyle. Kitt was cutting edge tech and super high power and fighting crime. Press a button and KITT overpowered any challenge and leap over any obstacle. Heck. KITT could self drive and let the driver sleep...comfortably. Putting KITT on an oval track to see who drove the best was as out of place as putting KITT into a demolition derby. Once you get past KITT and NASCAR being about fast cars...there is this ever widening division between the two.
Whereas the General Lee is the type of car that a NASCAR driver might identify more with while growing up and dreaming of the competition. It may not be the popular choice around here. But, I think the Dukes have the home turf on this one.
