OK, I know this is just my 2nd post inside the forum (1st one is the one that i posted when introducing myself) but when i found about this topic, i got stuck with it. Meaning, I'm interested in it. I tried clicking at the link but the progress bar stops at 78%. I'm viewing all this from my pc in my office, and it blocks twitter, facebook and flickr. how can i access the site coz i really want to see the game! I've played KR The Game 1 and 2, and it's not very much appealing to me... This though, is much, much more... pls help

iswaraKITT,

We're still working on the website and its not open to the public just yet, its a bit hard for me to get to right now as we're in the middle of taking care of a lot of our art so we can continue on with level design. I'm also trying to put the final wrap on the story line for the game. My friend also finally finished his project and will be joining our team as our lead programmer. Before long this project will be moving a long very quickly.

Good news! The animated Michael model is finished. You will now play an interactive Michael in the Fan Game. It has about 10 fighting moves and even starts to wonder why nothing happens if you don't do anything for a certain time :D

Currently I'm working on the final character rigging for Garthe Knight. Ken decided we'd use a mix of his and my models, resulting in a low-poly but high-quality mesh. (for the nerds reading this, the model has gone from 11.000 polygons on my model to 4.000 on the KR Fan Game avatars). This allows the game to be played on older pc's as well without losing speed.

Michael is not a midget lol, he is standing behind KITT, the angle is a bit weird my apologies lol.

Here is also something else we posted to twitter, this is me practicing setting up the intro to the game. We've decided to scratch this (it's not being used) for several reasons but I thought it would be cool to show you guys what didn't make the cut.



We've decided it would be better to make the intro as complicated as possible and make it all a real time environment rather then a per-recorded video. Here is hoping that it turns out awesome!

Well lol a little back history I guess. In high school we had to build a company from the ground up and manage it for a semester. I started a fake game development company called MicroStuff Studios . That is what the "ms" in my alias means, lol a few people have asked if it has to do with my sexual orientation, I guess I didn't think that out when I was a teenager haha! But anyway for the longest time I created games in Quick Basic. For whatever reason even after school, the idea of having a studio name stuck with me. I created a few 2D games, and a few horror fan games. When I decided I wanted to make my hobby of game development more serious I decided I needed to make my name official. When I went to register it as an L.L.C. to make it legit, someone else had taken the name 2 years prior, but I had been using the name for 5 years. My loss. My alternative name was Unleaded Games. I'm not a real company other then the LLC, I don't have any employee's, and I have 1 stock certificate that is completely useless at the moment lol. Unleaded Games just represents me as a icon for what we as a group are trying accomplish. It just sounds better to me then "A Bunch of Fans Presents: Knight Rider The Fan Game" lol

The game should be acceptable to any hardware that can run Windows XP/7 and benchmark at least a 3.0 using the windows performance information tool. Mac users pretty much anything after 2009.

Here is an example, this is a Dual Core Pentium D with a pretty crappy Intel HD card. This PC is about 6 or 7 years old now. These are all settings turned down to simple or off. Playing at a resolution of 1500 X 900, I got about 45 FPS average.

Its not as nice of course, but its very much playable and smooth on this older machine. I'm trying my best to look out for you guys with the older PC's so don't worry too much! And you will notice not much changes between KITT's paint job, that is because this is the low quality shader. The High quality shader will have real time environment reflections with dynamic textures that will allow for KITT to get dusty, ripple and drip water when its raining, scratch up when his MBS is drained too low etc...
