If'n ya' could add to KITT...

OK, let's say you have the chance to add one feature to Kitt, during the cannon time line, what would it be and why?

Holographic exterior, so he wouldn't always be the rather stunning black Trans-Am. He could go from junker to gorgeous with a flick of a switch.

lol, with the shine on his body, anybody would think he WAS holographic :P

One feature? I'm gonna nick this from Die another Day but what about invisible mode?

At least it would prevent him from getting destroyed ever again and would enhance Michael's protection.

Antigravity technology! :P Wait, he's afraid of flying, so that wouldn't work, lol. :D

"Antigravity technology! Wait, he's afraid of flying, so that wouldn't work, lol."

Already done. We just call it "Turboboost."

Actually, that is not true, because true anti grav technology would allow for sustained flight. With turbo boost, it gravity does end up butting its head in to allow for the landing.

I'd add a continuity sub-routen to Kitts primary control program, so we wouldn't have all those horrible contridictions from episode to episode...

KITT: "But Micheal, in episode 32 last year we specifically said that I was unable to do that. This function hasn't been upgraded so how am I able to do it down?"

MICHEAL:"Damn it Kitt we really need to get Bonnie to remove that continueity sub-routen."

KITT: "I'm sorry Micheal...but it is part of my primary control program"

MICHEAL:"yeah I know buddy... I know."

It was just a joke, Laura. It was my fault. I should've put a smiley with it or something. My bad.

However, if you wanted to get technical, you could call it "Temporary Anti-Gravity." After all, to be "anti" is to work against a force, not necessarily to destroy or conquer it. Therefore, since Turboboost works against gravity, even though gravity eventually wins, you could still call it anti-gravity. The common usage of the term "anti-gravity" is misleading. They should redub it "Gravity Cancellation Technology" or something like that perhaps. Albeit, you are right insofar as common usage defines "anti-gravity" as a device that can allow for levitation or long-term freedom from the effects of gravity, the perception of its effects, or actual gravity.

(From my perch high atop Sky City in Tokyo.)

didn't SID use antigravity? I saw the episode once, and seem to remember him floating or something once or twice.

... I'd add me. ...

OK, I'm not a 'feature' per-say, and I think all of you know why.

In my version of the shell, I would have both the exterior looks and the invisibility...ane even the flipping license plate covered with a wrap around shell monitor. Basically, this uni-monitor shaped like a car would project any image the powerful processors could project on it.

As for the Anti-Grav idea, I'd use mine over some far off futuristic notion, the Flying Wing. In essence, the Flying Wing would be an aircraft in and of itself that could fly over KITT, attach itself to KITT in some mannor and lift off with KITT in tow, underneath. It would be a gimmick like SID was, rather then a feature, because it would be it's own separate intity. And, when Michael/Kitt needed it, it would have to be convienently nearby to be useful in a moment's pinch. Else, Kitt would have to call it from a distant airport and wait, say, 49 minutes for it to arrive and carry them into the air.

Actually, I think that a useful addition to Kitt would be a robotic, human sized/shaped body to assist Michael in places that a car body can't go.

Ya' know, I thought about doing that in a story of mine. The whole thing is still on my over crowded drawing bord, but may'haps I will one day use it.
