New Knight Rider deleted scene

Post by Knight Racer » Sat Dec 20, 2008 9:03 pm

I think this is one scene deleted from the episode where Mike is poisoned or from a future episode of knight rider.

I didn't notice it before but she says "it'll never stop coming after you" I'd guess she's referring to KARR?

When Mike's memory was wiped out during missions,he operated the Karr body to destroy that area in the dream or when she mentioned it will never stop coming after you she might have meant wartime memories.

The powers that be at NBC, in their infinite wisdom, decided to cut that scene from episode 4, "A Hard Day's Knight." Apparently it would have cut into the T & A time too much. i believe there was another scene cut, and replaced with that beach scene at the end.

Yup, I remember it was "too dark" supposedly like with Knight In Shining Armor which showed at least me that NBC still doesn't get why Bionic Woman failed. If there's another scene I hope they release it.

I think A Hard Day's Knight was one of the episodes that actually didn't have much, if any T&A in it. I guess it showed that at least David Andron could write a decent episode without relying on it. Only thing was that it seemed like an episode that would have been more suited for a later time, after people start to get some sort of attachment to the characters.

i must say that i think that deleted scene was very well done, i dont understand why they would have deleted such a well acted and cool scene like that. i like it dark like that, if knight rider 08 had more episodes with scenes like that i would be liking this show a lot more than i do now, thats what this show is missing, it needs to be more dark.
in glen larson we trust.

I doubt they're going to keep the storyline with Mike's past. Didn't they veto it a while back?

What a shame.

That's exactly the sort of scene the series needs, if it wants to engage it's target audience.

It seems like they execs are saying, "we want to make this a cool show with an interesting, dark mythology but then we just want it to be a no-brainer with lots of eye-candy and very little substance."

At least give us some darker elements, we are all aged 18-49, after all...

I don't think they need to focus on it, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be there. It just shouldn't be too light and especially not as silly as its been.

Particularly when they seem to pad out each and every episode with zoom shots flying across terrain (like Las Vegas), or, umm, a zoom shot across some lady's booty, or, erm, another gratuitous close up of some girlie wibbly-wobbling across the set in a badly fitting too-tight bikini.

If I want stuff like that, I'm sure there are plenty of specialist websites out there. Probably.

Just give us something in each story to get our teeth into - I'm not saying it should all be heavy going and utterly dark, I'm just saying, don't cut out THE most interesting part of the show so far - Mike's missing past and how it all hangs together with KARR - we can take it, we're all grown up and stuff...

They know we're all mature and stuff, but they also have to be aware of the little kiddies who might be watching. It's an eight 'o clock show. But then again, there's the T&A...

A show that was dark and yet open to happy learning moments, that I loved, was called The Pretender. It had many really good moments of Jarod, (the main character) of whom was held captive since he was 6 years old, learning the world around him as well as helping his fellow man while being chased relentlessly by an organization that wanted to exploit his talents.

This show lasted 4 seasons in the 1990's. Which goes to show that that show scheme can work.
That is a computer not a sofa.......Knight of the Drones

A firsthand viewer of Knight Rider '08!
And I LOVED it!

I posted the deleted scene on You Tube I'm knight moves 01. If you go to my page on You Tube by typing knight moves 01 in the search bar you'll find the other deleted scene I've also posted. just go to more videos from knight moves 01 on You Tube and you'll find them there. The videos are from the Knight Research section of the NBC website hidden away in the Alex Torres profile. Go to my You Tube page and view them there as all the videos are on the one page together to save logging on to the NBC site. I think the scenes are from a future episode or are deleted scenes. Well enjoy guys and log on to my You Tube page knight moves 01 and check out the other deleted scene and my other videos, Happy Christmas and keep writing to NBC to keep KR alive. I'm in England so a bit hard for me to do :karr: tc Ben G

Fantastic show! It's not available on DVD here in Australia so i resorted to good old Amazon.com for my purchase of all 4 seasons and the movies..

I think this show captivated a lot of audience here in Australia. It's one of those shows that people just don't forget, much like the original Knight Rider. Good to see that The Pretender is still on peoples minds!

I agree, the Pretender was a very good show, I didn't follow it closely or anything but I watched it whenever I saw it on TNT.

I agree, the Pretender was an excellent show. I loved how Jarod would help the innocent, the helpless, the powerless...in a world of criminals who thought they were above the law. Jarod would then come in and make sure those criminals got what was coming to them with his own unique brand of justice. I hated how the series ended...I had to wait for years to find out that there were a couple of movies that wrapped things up!

If they can reproduce that kind of "standing up for the little guy" theme, I think Knight Rider would have the potential to reach a much bigger audience.
