^^me too.

I'd even be satisfied at this point with a US port of the PS2 game.

IGN.com still has a Dec 04 release date for the GCN. I wonder if this is a glitch or true?

^^Same here.

Many developers seem to regard the Gamecube as a dead end. I doubt Davilex would waste the time coding a not well received game for a system such as the Nintendo.

Sony didn't block it. They didn't want to licence it for the PS2, since the North American PC version's sales were not up to their standards. The second game probably won't be much better in that aspect, because it needs to be capable of selling a LOT of copies in a certain period of time.

I still say that the Sega Dreamcast would be the perfect, no-license gaming system to go with.

1: Lots of these systems sold, once Sega stopped supporting it and slashed the price.

2: (I believe) Sega shouldn't care about anything else that is made for this system. As they have abandoned it.

3: There are web sites and used gaming stores that could sell such games.

4: The DC was designed fairly friendly towards PC porting.

5: DC's are both fairly recent machines with plenty of power. (As opposed to other, "dead" systems like the NES/S-NES/Genny and older.)

6: DC CD's are low cost to make.

I read on another board that there is a brand new, DC game on the way.

Another Great KR game is "Knight Rider Special". I beat it and it is great. It comes with a special emulator too.

^^Yup, there is a lot of support for the DC. I really miss mine, but it was collecting dust and I wanted a GCN.

I think someone got Quake PC to load on it. I'm sure the KR PC game could be put on it with a little tinkering.

I have an NES emulator for the DC. Hate to say it. But, this was the way the classic Nintendo should have been. Not only does the disc have almost every NES game ever made, it also comes packed with almost every Game Genie code, the ability to save games in mid-play, access to rapid fire buttons and slow/quick motion.

I have a fair amount of these games in cartridge form. But, it's near impossible to have them all. As, there are titles I've never even heard of and home hacks and home made games like Kart Fighter.

I did the same thing with SNES, Jup, when I had my DC. Your right. I wish Nintnedo would just release their entire library on a few GCN mini DVDs.

The trend is starting to spread, though. The new Zelda collection, Sonic collection, and upcoming MegMan collection is proof of that happening.

It was made by Acclaim.

I had one of those when I was in the 6th grade!

It was good for the LCD games at that time. I think I even had an Airwolf one, it was one of the first LCD games made by Acclaim. But they always bored me really quickly. They could never produce the depth of the consule counterparts at the time.

The game play was very similar to the NES game, it just featured a 3rd person perspective as opposed to the NES games behind the wheel look. It just lacked the tech upgrades and changing skylines for each stage.

I've only seen the handheld in a net image. (Available at my NES tribute sub-page at my jupircbot site.)

I gave Neil permission to mirror that page here at KRO. But, I guess he never did. It's packed with everything there is to know about the classic NES game. But, it's not so easy to find at my site. (The link is trapped inside the Etc section of The Lone Knight sub-site of the IRC Bot pages. If you aren't looking for it, you'd probably miss it.)

i can't believe that i'm saying this i played knight rider on nes version one time before.davilex should have looked at the nes version and more improvment. the game could been hit if they as hard as it was to knight rider on nes version. rge 1st game was just plain crapy.
