not a good idea for a movie, but perhaps a good idea for a fan fiction. has one been done already?

Yeah, there is one that's done that's a crossover. I don't remember the name of the story or who wrote it.

Going by what I remember, FLAG is called down to Hazzard County because Rosco is in the hopsital from someone trying to kill him. Of course, the only evidence found by Hazzard County P.D. is a bow and some nitro, which leads them to believe that the Duke boys plotted to kill Rosco. However, Michael finds out there's more to things than meets the eye and that the Dukes were set up. So, together, they try to figure out who it really was that tried to kill Rosco.

Here's an idea for an episode.

"Knights of a thousand chargers"-
You can write the story yourself.

How bout when they save Roscoe they all drive over to Santini air and have a drink with Hawke.

Maybe we'll just save that one for the sequel :)!

this movie would cost all of FLAGS billions because of all the Chargers and Trans Ams getting trashed from stunts , but it would be awesome!

It's a tough call who'd win that one.
------------------------------------------------

I know everybody says KITT would win. People say "He'd smash a stock Charger to bits!"

But . . .
I must point out that the General Lee could land nose-down from 30 feet up, and not get a scratch. Whatever it was, it was no mere stock Charger. Something supernatural was at work in that old Dodge.

I agree KITT would have an edge, but it wouldn't be easy.

Seems like I read somewhere of a "City car vs. Country car" rivalry between KITT and the General Lee back when they were both airing at the same time.

Yes, there was a poster that you mailed away for put out by NBC that showed how the cars stacked up.

And millions of foundation technology vs the hundreds of the dukes, I think the proof is in the MBS.

I think the MBS would have a little bit of an advantage over the Lee......like watching KITTs nose cut through the Lee like tinfoil and then proceeding to shred the Charger like string cheese.

Dude, no contest. KITT rules.....'nuff said.

And don't forget about Jesse Mach, either! Throw Streethawk in there somewhere with all of these spinoffs!

I still think you're selling the General Lee a bit short.

Yes, it was supposed to be just a Dodge Charger.
But in Hazzard, cars, and especially the General, take on major-league unnatural abilities.

The General Lee has rolled over, without a scratch. It has rammed-through other cars at full speed.
It has also jumped head-on through the Hazzard County Courthouse's outside (brick) wall, without a scratch.
The General Lee has jumped over a grain silo, without a scratch.

Call it a MBS, or call it "Duke magic," but something was up with that car.

----------------------------------
Picture KITT saying "I don't understand it, Michael. We rammed that orange clunker at full-speed, and yet the ugly thing doesn't have a mark on it!"
----------------------------------

Don't underestimate supernatural powers, that don't have to obey laws of physics.

I agree KITT would probably win, but it wouldn't be so easy.

It left a bad taste in my mouth after seeing K.I.T.T. vs General Lee in Nighty Night 2000 in the Cracked magazine.

I'd rather see K.I.T.T. and Viper go toe to toe.... after all they did have an episode where a computer had taken over the Viper. There was a mention of putting a computer in the Viper at the end of the show as a funny I guess. They did put a red light on the dash that swept back and forth rather than rotate, so I'm sure they would have not wanted to go with too many ideas that would make the show like Knight Rider.

Ahh, touche.
The General Lee didn't have any lava-resistant capabilities. The most it ever did was drive through some heavy forest fires.
-------------------------------

But in a car-to-car duel, exactly how would lava come into play?

Kitt vs. Defender wouldn't be much of a match though. Defender would just fire a static pulse at Kitt and put him to sleep. :D

Would still be kewl to see though.

Has the Defenders shells been determined? I can't remember if they ever explaned them in a back story. I don't think that they would last to the level KITTs would.

Wasn't the static pulse like an EMP? I would assume that, in this age of technology, and if we loosely followed the technology TKR had, KITT would have the capabilities to stand up to that.
I dunno....I just visit here! :P

Now mind you I only have seen the original first season when it started on NBC, but recal the car taking some serious damage to the pasenger side door after being hit with some kind of anti-tank weapon.

I don't think it would be as tough as KITT's MBS. Again I never watched any of the syndicated episodes (OK maybe bits and pieces, but was confused because the car was blue not red and turned it off, figured I missed to much to jump in now :) ) so who knows what was revealed!

I think KITT would be zigging and zagging to much for Joe (he is still the Defender's driver, right?) to get a good lock on him.

Wasn't it in one of the first episodes of Viper that someone had a weapon capable of blowing a decent-sized chunk out of the Defender's armor?

The only thing that comes immediately to mind which would seriously cripple KITTs MBS is the laser KARR stole, or Goliath coming in head on at him.

Or what about those missiles that the T-bird drones had? What else am I missing here?

We had a disscussion in one of my classes in college. Most of the teachers were like small towns, and they all said the general lee could beat kitt in a race. Im like we aren't talking about a 70' charger with a 6-pack vs a 82 trans-am, we talking about kitt vs the general lee. hello 0-60 in .2 seconds, i doubt the general lee would have a chance
