What extra's would you like to see?

Post by Supersonic Lorry » Fri Jun 13, 2003 7:36 pm

Hi folks,
Let's imagine that the pilot episode of Knight Rider was going to be released onto DVD. What extra's would you love to see?

For me it'd be;

An audio commentary by David Hasselhoff
Interview with the stunt driver
A 'Making of Knight Rider' documentary
And a photo gallery of never before seen KR photo's

What would you like to see?

deleted scenes put back in the programme(there must be some out there)
what kitt could have looked like before before they decided on his ultimate look

5.1 surround sound
and william daniels also doing a commentary with david

Good idea and you're quite right, there must be some deleted scenes out there.

I also like the idea about seeing what Kitt would have looked like. I've seen a lot of DVD extras of films/TV shows where they discuss how things looked originally and most of the time, they've been totally different. For all we know, KITT may have originally been proposed as a red 'female' car. LOL. Okay, that's unlikey, but your idea would be good.

They should have the following on ALL the DVDs:

Commentary by Glen A. Larson, the director of the episode, William Daniels and David Hasselhoff.

Original teaser promos for the episode.

Behind the scenes photos of the episode.

An interactive Trivia game for the episode with KITT as your host (for DVD-Rom)

"Where are they now?" on the guest stars of the episode.

I think it would RULE if the menus featured "buttons" like the ones on KITT (which would be different each season) and William Daniels actually spoke when you chose something. Like if you press "audio commentary" he says "Which mix would you like to hear?"

Just cool.

Hi, Supersonic Lorry!

I would love to see A ´Making of Knight Rider´ documentary just like you would. I would also love to see some scenes which were not in the version that was shown in the TV.

I would like to see some of the behind the scenes stuff that most kr fans didn't know about like maybe the pic on Neils site of the driver who drove the car when David wasn't there and kitt was on autopilot. The pic I saw of the long cord in the back seat hooked to the right of the backseat to pull open the trunk, what that green button that most people don't know about thats on the right gull wing of the steering wheel was for.

Maybe some cool video clips of the car beeing destroyed after the turbo boosts that went wrong or any other axccidents.Sorta like the looking for freedom clip thats been around the websites.

These all sound like great ideas, my favorites so far are:

A Tribute to Edward Mulhare

A video montage of Knight Rider in different languages. It would be great if it was a scene with KITT interacting with Michael, and with every cut the voices changed to a different language.

A commentary on the pilot with Glen Larson and anyone else he feels was important to the creative process for the initial show.

Outtakes: gotta love the out takes. Line flubs, parts of kitt breaking or being destroyed. All of the dirty bits.

Here is what I would want to see...

* Micheal Scheffe, KITT creator talking about constructing the car
* William Daniels, Patricia McPherson, Rebecca Holden interviews (along with David Hasselhoff)
* Robert Foster, Executive Producer interview
* On the set exclusive footage
* Glen A. Larson interview
* Jack Gill talks about how the stunts were performed and outtakes of the crashes etc...

Though this is wishful thinking, one can only hope for Knight Rider Legacy to be mentioned in the disc of extras (hopeful co-author crosses fingers)...

One can only hope that the whole community, not a specific item or site are thanked for keeping the name out there and active for so long. But if they can't single out every one, just make sure they thank the fans for standing by so long would be good enough.

I'd like to see a "Where are they now?" feature, letting fans know where they can go to see any remaining KR cars, props, etc.

It would also be fun to have a "tour" of a real KR car.

More than anything, I think it would be cool to have a slideshow or video gallery of fan-built replicas of KITT.
