Hahaa, oops. Thanx Neil.

I might as well repeat the disclaimer on the story. This is KR2K as you've never seen it before, and it's been rated NC-17 for extreme violent content, strong profanity, and brief sexuality.

Oh my ,Scott! That was one heck of a story there! This story had a lot of non-stop action that had me on the edge of my seat! It's nice to see that Maddox is still a moron-he makes for good comic relief! I absolutley LOVED the final battle between Kitt and Karr. You even used some elements of Trust Does'nt Rust. 8) ! Finally,it was nice to Natalie get her revenge on X. Bty,even though you destroyed Karr :x  , I loved his new look you gave him in the pic in the above link.Nice job,Scott K! :)

SoulSista I think you about covered everything I was gonna say  Excellent story Scott! Liked the way Karr used those past phrases and when his scanner went from red to yellow was really eerie. Don't take so long to write the next one now!! 8)

Here's my opinion . . . you're probably not gonna like it!

It was an exciting story, but my enjoyment was spoiled, as there was WAY too
much strong language, too much gratuitous violence with an excessive death
toll. The gratuitously explicit sex scene, in the university halls of residence,
was totally unnecessary. When you consider that Knight Rider was always
meant to be suitable for a family audience, what could've been a decent
fanfic story, IMO it was spoiled with excessive adult content. I know you
provided a warning, but I still think the adult content wasn't necessary.

If you take out all the profanity, extreme violence and sexual content, you
would' have had an excellent follow-up story for the "Knight Rider 2000" TV
movie. Instead, this story was more like Knight Rider meets Reservior Dogs,
with a bit of Die Hard and Terminator thrown in for good measure! Put it on
the big screen, anyone would think that Quentin Tarantino was the director!

Don't get me wrong . . I'm no prude, and I've nothing really against a
good story with a bit of adult content in it, but for heavens sake, that
particular story wouldn't get past the BBFC without an 18 certificate!

Any chance of a cleaned up version, suitable for before the watershed?

Thanks for your feedback- any kind of feedback I like because it helps me form the next story!

But I figure I have some explaining to do, so here we go...

Knight Rider was a hokey cheesy family hour kids show where the good guy wins, no one dies, criminals were close to harmless and no one swears (provided it's because on TV).

I can't speak for KR2K because it only had one stab on television as a TV movie, but we did see characters beginning to transition into new lights. We saw a criminal, Tommy Watts, who was behind the deaths of over ten cops, we saw him kill one cop in the movie (with a blood burst shot) and order Dr. Glassman to be killed, and we watched him kill Devon. KR2K was obviously trying to make a transition for a more adult audience.

My KR2K took it a few steps further into a more adult universe- there's some added language and some more descriptive violence.

Mr. X is a psychotic adult character with adult actions and prepared for an adult audience. When reading the language and the violence, it helps build him as a character you love to hate and root for to die in the end.

The oral sex scene in the university? Tip of the ice berg... if you read other fics in this fandom, you'll see it gets way more descriptive.

My KR2K stories are not THIS explicit or descriptive- in fact, this is my first story I have rated NC-17, just due to the fact.

But as I said... it's time to move the KR genre into a more adult oriented position, and a lot of our authors are doing so. I stand behind them in their decisions to change the fandom and I hope they stand behind me.

I shall step in and add something a little further to Scott's defense.

Yes, X Marks the Spot is in fact, very violent, to some aspect, more than most of the fics in our community are, but many of the fics in our community are more adult oriented. X Marks the Spot is not a follow-up in any shape or form to the Knight Rider 2000 movie, but instead is a vision of how the series could have gone, and is one in a series of stories that are already up on the net.

As has been said with anything of a high advisory rating, if you are sensitive to that sort of thing, don't read it. While we urge everybody to read our fic, if it isn't your cup of tea, it isn't your cup of tea.

I have to agree with the above statement by KI.It's up to us,the readers to decide, depending on the rating of the fic,if we want to read that story. I did'nt have a problem with some of the scenes in "X" because I would consider those scenes TAME compared to other KR fics that I've read. Don't get me wrong, because I also like to read general or "clean" KR fics from time to time;but I absolutely love it when the authors put a more adult spin on things because the stories are more deeper and involved. Also, when ONE story has piqued my interest by an author,it pushes me to read some more of his or her stories to see what I've been missing. Thanks to Scott's story, I will be eagerly anticipating any future fics from him while I'm reading his previous works(even though I still can't stomach Kitt in red!)
