He's auctioning off a bunch of other memorabilia and personal items on twitter past few days. Saw the spongebob baywatch Mitch Buchanon prop. Wonder why his personal kitt has the wrong season 3/4 lower console and one of the images for the auction has the wrong season dash picture.

It's down to 7 bids and $450,000.

The pics are of multiple cars. I don't buy this...doesn't make sense....Where's the half assed super pursuit car that Jen lady built and "gave" him?

He gave one away a year ago to a guy who cried to him about being a huge KR fan? Think it had lambo doors that open by lifting up. He keeps buying and selling them every few years.

Anyone notice the fork lift in picture 11? fork lift might be a replica from the episode Junk Yard Dog.

Wow, back up to $850k with 10 bids and over 12 days to go. I know people build their KITT replicas to their own personal tastes but I can't tell you how much it drives me absolutely bonkers whenever I see a "KITT" go up for sale or used in major publicity events or movies/TV appearances and it's not even close to a 100% externally accurate replica. It seriously just makes me cringe because it gives all of the non-fans of the show the impression that that's what the car actually looked like. Which then gets translated later on to horrible-looking toys or models, and...yeah, bad words come flying out of my mouth every time I see it happen.

KR creator, I know how you feel. I never really leave Brooklyn so when I found out a replica was as close to me as Manhattan on my Birthday after work, I called a friend and told her we HAVE to go to the Jacob Javitz Center I actually was a bit overwhelmed with excitement. It was Neil himself (owner of Knight Rider Online) who posted pics of the replica at the New York Auto show back in 2012. First replica I could ever be around of kitt and it looked like:

Told my friend I had a camera and we're checking everything out first but this replica we'll be coming back to and if they don't let us get behind the red velvet ropes to get pictures taken, i'm going to jump it to get a few good shots before we get kicked out. The woman who gave the guided tour around the tv / movie car replicas was nice enough to take a few pics for me and I heard so many people commenting how they couldn't do the same :D

I must have about thousands of knight rider pictures I've collected online since the 90's and for some reason I subconsciously chose this pose to get this photo. When I realized why, I had to photoshop this together.

The car sold for $300.000 with 31 bids. Now the car just needs a gullwing steering wheel without the red lines on the sides, an accurate season 3/4 lower console to replace the season 1/2 installed, and the rubber line across the driver side doors.

One of my DeLorean buddies built a BttF time machine replica in the 90s (IIRC it might have been the first fan-made one) and he wrote to Universal to get permission to do it. One of the conditions their lawyers gave him was that it couldn't be more than 80% screen accurate. (This was in the bad old days when media companies considered fandom a nuisance rather than a resource and would do things like C&Ding people who posted pictures of their living room with a Star Trek logo on the wall.) I wonder if there's a similar explanation for these, uh, interesting design choices on some KR replicas?

(Kind of wish I could stick a gullwing wheel in my DeLorean, since the stock one blocks half the instrument panel, LOL...)

Hey Knight Racer, guess what I found at the Hollywood Car Museum in Vegas last week?

I took a look inside and was like "Hey I've seen this car before!" It even still has the cardboard Hoff cutout on the driver's seat
