Little insight with KITT's parts?

Post by Assasinge » Thu Sep 08, 2016 7:55 pm

I was just wondering if anyone here could give me some insight on buying KITT's parts and modifying a Trans Am I'll be next year. Where is the best place to get the parts? I'm seeing a lot of good ones on ebay and bumpers etc. If anyone here has a KITT replica (kitt_24?) I just want your thoughts and feedback and what's my best options right now because my dad said he'll probably get me a Trans Am and the parts but not at a crazy high price of course.

I have never bought from them. Look at the time you half to wait from now >> Estimated between Fri. Oct. 28 and Sat. Nov. 12. It's safe to buy on ebay cause you can aways open a case on them in case something wrong.

I got my red light from Sid. here's his youtube video on light. He make a 32 led and 64 led lights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11z_lkQMtgA
Here's his email you can contact him and he will make one for you. txknight82@yahoo.com

The whole package for just under $700??? Sounds like a steal. And it can fit ten years worth of that model? Must be doing something a bit different from what I've heard in the past about frame and firewall incompatibilities to the mold designs.

Italy. Italy. Why does that ring a bell when it comes to commissioned Kitts? Try using 'Italy' as a search word up in that corner search box. Italy seems to be quite the hot spot of past dealings for Kitt replica dash parts. No idea whom this Samuel is.

kitt_24, can I ask, is the gullwing comfortable for you? I'm sure it depends on your height and everything too but some people complain about it hitting their knee or thigh or whatever

The wheel is very comfortable going straight... it gets close to parts when you turn. Being my car is a 5 speed, I've learned to cup one of the grips and turn it with 1 hand... it takes practice... the switch pods are more likely to cause more trouble with your knees than the wheel... it is wide, but you learn to drive it... with practice...

So, what I'm thinking is, I'm getting a Trans Am next year (looks just like the one in Knight of the Phoenix btw) and I'll replace the steering wheel with the gullwing and start driving with that one instead of the stupid stock one. Sound good?

Yup, and with the "stock" dash, it gives you time to practice...
An alignment and possibly some new parts help, so that it's straight and true...
Nothing sucks more than having the handles turned to 11 and 5 (on a clock face) when going straight...

The truth is I hate the gullwing wheel but i want the kitt car look. I like the round wheel way better cause i like my hand on top of the wheel.

I also found a KITT for sale in Cali on the KnightRidershop link you posted. Going to email the person about the details, and I believe it's going for 23,000?

The more southern California, the better. Dryer climates work better with car bodies, after all.
