It's an incredibly sad day to be a Knight Rider fan. All I can say is that my thoughts are with his family at this difficult time, and I hope they draw strength from the knowledge that Glen had a massive effect on the lives of so many of us.

One of the best tv creators next to norman lear of all time.
Knight Rider was one of the best, along with the predecessor to the CSI Franchise (Quincy M.E.) and Magnum P.I.

RIP.

R.I.P. Glen Larson. You created one of the best and favorite television series I've ever watched. My condolences go out to his family and friends. He will surely be missed.

I hope that the Knight Rider Movie will still be done after this, after all he wrote the script as is shown in this video:

Very sad to hear this news..

growing up in the 70/80's wouldn't have been a fraction as much fun and entertaining, Knight Rider was of course just one of the many shows we all know and love, what a true genus and a legend..

Glen's legacy will carry on in his fantastic creations.

RIp Glen..

I came back here as soon as I heard. I wanted to say my heart and prayers are with his family and friends, and to all of you as well. I've posted this to my Facebook account when I found out about his passing. I feel it's best to share it here too:

I come online and find out this news, and I'm sad. For those who are unfamiliar with this man, from the 1970s and 1980s, he created many of the classic shows that still have a fanbase today. To me, I know him as the creator of the original "Battlestar Galactica" and my childhood favorite, "Knight Rider." It is saddens me to hear about this. R.I.P. Mr. Larson. Thank you for giving me "Knight Rider" and "Battlestar Galactica", which both still hold true to me now as they did then.

I will admit, I have seen a lot of other of his shows while I was growing up, including Magnum, P.I. and The Fall Guy. And I will admit, after hearing about the original concept he came up with that eventually became Battlestar Galactica, a story called Adam's Ark, which involved a spaceship of humans leaving Earth after a catastrophe in hopes of finding a new home (similar to what was on the show, except heading from Earth instead trying to find it), it kinda made me wonder why it wasn't attempted (though it's probably because of the bleakness of the concept). But I will continue to remember his work. In fact, I've started rewatching episodes of Knight Rider on Netflix. R.I.P. Mr. Larson. Thank you again for the stories you've left behind for us to continue to enjoy. And I do still believe in one line you've written: One man can make a difference. And you certainly made one while you were here.

This is very sudden and sad news. Knight Rider is still my absolute favorite TV series of all time and to hear that the creator of it has passed on breaks my heart. My thoughts are also with his family and friends, as well as to the rest of the KRO community, as I'm sure we are all deeply affected by this. I'm not sure if Glen ever envisioned Knight Rider becoming the franchise that it did or that it would inspire legions of die-hard fans even after nearly 35 years but the words "One can can make a difference" never seemed to ring more true than now in regards to all that Glen accomplished in his life. RIP Mr. Larson.

Thank You for creating the most entertaining tv-shows like Knight Rider and Battlestar Galactica.

Composer Stu Phillips made a post at filmscoremonthly.cokm with his farewell to Larson:
For those fans of many of Glen Larson's shows, I regret to inform you that Glen passed away of cancer just recently. He was a long time friend of mine as well as employer since 1964.

My Heart aches with the Passing of One of the true Icons and One of the Towering Figures of Sci-Fi and Action Television, Glen A. Larson. In fact, I put him and Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry(who we lost in 1991) as The 2 Towering figures of the SF genre. There are many links between KR and Star Trek, through Many People who've appeared on Both. From Me and My Family to Glen's Family-We Grieve with Thee. GOD BLESS YOU GLEN A. LARSON-YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!
