I've got about 67 files recorded for you from weeks ago including the horn.I haven't seen you online recently which is why I've posted my questions and ideas here.When will you be online to discuss the game further?

Here's what I've thought about in the past week:

The scanner is a bit wide.It needs a bit more detail/dimension with a few side peices to close it in tighter on the scanner port.The blackouts on the front are like black rubber covers.They could be a bit darker metal panels.

Could you lower kitt a few inches.It wasn't exactly a stock trans am height.

also the sides of kitt need to have his lines stand out a bit more.

A few game ideas I had were what if kitt tailgates goliath and Michael puts kitt into auto cruise while he climbs out the t-top,onto kitt's hood and into goliaths cab to rescue the girl of the week,that is if there's going to be one in this episode.

I know the storyline so far and I don't know if you can fit in a few of kitt's abilities like blasting through walls as in the episodes :not a drop to drink,no big thing,knight in disgrace,ice bandits.

Also any chance we can fit in the chimcal analyzer.I know this is reaching for an action game but even Batman had a detective mode.Kinda like Michael walking around the room to find that kidnapper's signature on a peice of art and then having to drive down to his studio in knightmare's.

When will you be online to discuss the game further?

I haven't been yet because I’m trying to be nicer to people, so please accept my request too. I won’t let you down again or be a dick, I just want to talk about the game, give ideas and so on, so please give me another chance if you’re ready, which i don’t think you are but I hope so.

in the kr series universal used a sound effect that was used for kitts motor when he traveling at high speeds that sound like a 1960s daytona.in this game will this sound be featured when kitt travels at high speeds ??? sorry to bug ya msken about sheding light on the game because i know you dont want to spoil the suprises on your game but i got to know if you dont mind lol, will this game take place right after michael left the beach on the scent of roses. because of stevies death at the scent of roses will michael still be depressed for a minute in the game.

Right after Scent of Roses Killer Kitt happened.So I always wondered why Knight Rider never had a greiving period but then again this is an action show not a drama.I have recorded a few engine sounds including Jet from season one and a regular engine sound I first noticed in Goliath.If you pm me your email I can send you the file and you can tell me if thats the daytona engine sound.

I've heard from several sources that Scent of the Roses was originally intended to be the series finale, rather than Voo Doo Knight, but got moved up for ratings sweeps period. I don't know whether that's true or not,but it has more of a finale feel than Voo Doo Knight did.

If we can find the correct sound that is not a problem, the new car physics I'm using can utilize a high and low pitch sound effect with out a problem.

We will make mention of Stevie's death, but this game takes place well after Season 4 and sets up the events that lead to Michael leaving the foundation for good, setting up KR2K.

Correct on both counts. Bringing the very strong Scent of Roses to sweeps week was a wise decision in an attempt to boost fading ratings. It semi-ruined continuity. But, had it worked, Voo Doo would have just been a gap filler to season 5.

Also, this is an action show and events that weren't mission related were rarely seen, if even hinted at. The camera only tended to watch when a mission was in progress. In their 'lives', more events went on then what was seen in the show. But, for the most part, we had to take guesses. (A great example would be Bonnie's decision to move on in her life and head off to San Francisco. Only to find her former life coming back to her in season 3.)

And, to get back on track, I'm glad to see that MSKen is still trying to get a full game going. Great job, MSKen!

These days, between work and a couple projects, I just have no time to devote to KR gaming or even moderating. Hince why my efforts into this, faded long ago. But, I wish you the best of luck on your efforts.

I'm pushing to get at least 1 level where Michael has to use the ejector seat to get into a building from the roof and kitt takes over the cameras to guide him through the hallways to avoid security guards.That was in the series a few times in whitebird,knight of the rising sun,and I think Good Knight Work.Certain things have a kr feel to it and i'm hoping that's what this game will convery to all players.

Just a quick update,

Daan and I have been working together as of late. I think his character models are great and look better then what I had going on. We're also going to collaborate on the script a bit as Daan has a great eye for cinematics. I'm also hoping we can work off of each other to get the script feeling more Knight Rider in tone rather then the Dark Knight dark and gritty tone I have going already.

I don't want to spoil the story line, but here is a scene from a demo cinematic that Daan was working on. RC3 is injured badly and Michael needs to get him to the paramedics before he slips away. You'll notice KITT is Tobie's season 4 mesh.

Also wanted to announce Tobie has made a new car for us! I'm still getting it setup so no videos just yet, but here is a teaser for you guys!

While I'm sure the team appreciates and welcomes compliments and criticisms, I'm not sure I understand the reasoning of using my project thread to post your own project updates. Or why you would blatantly take my avatar and put it directly where I can see it...

I guess I'll take it as a compliment. So, thanks... I guess. If you would have asked I would have made you a custom one lol. I just want to clarify that Michael.Knight1's post and mesh has absolutely nothing to do with our project, also our project has absolutely nothing to do with GTA modifications.

Anyway here is a new render of Goliath since we haven't seen him in a while! His trailer still needs some work, but I haven't had a chance to get to it just yet!

If you would have read a few posts up you wouuld have seen that he is not yet done with the website.

Also, if you have read anything in the thread, you would have seen that the game is not yet done
either. There is more to this thread than pretty pictures! :roll:

I don't use a pattern, its just some quick work in photoshop, and using an alpha channel in 3dsmax for the renders. The text is just gradients with a transparent texture layer over top if it. If you notice in my work, that is really the only great photoshop skill I own... is being able to work the Layer Style properties which anyone can do lol! Website isn't done yet, we are still prototyping the game. The website will open soon. We haven't decided how we will distribute the game, or what legal hurdles we will have to jump threw to release it to the public. Even though its a game made by fans for fans, and is just a huge work of fan art and fan fiction its still a huge copyright infringement. The ultimate goal here would be to get a publisher to back us. I'm not sure yet how realistic of a goal that is lol but we'll just have to wait and see!

The game will be available first for free for the PC/Mac only. We have to do major rework to the game's art but we will also release a free Android and iOS5 (iPhone3GS/Ipad1, device must unfortunately be jailbroken) app. We can't promise that the game play for Android/iOS will be a direct port, but we will keep the story exactly the same.

If by some stupid luck we find a publisher.... then I would very much hope to see this be an Xbox Arcade/PlayStation Store downloadable game. The conversion would be extremely simple for Xbox 360 and PS3 since I am building this game based on the specs of an XBOX360.
