Wow. Anyone else highly dissapointed with this demo? The voice actor for KITT is horrid. Why in the world didn't they use the same person from the first one? He was a much better KITT!!

Oh,haven't you heard? They replaced Kitt's cpu with Dante's from Team Knight Rider. The voice is bad but the game makes up for it.The banter between Michael and kitt is ok.Season 2 banter.Season 4 feel to the gameplay.I liked the chalenge of the game.Hate the camera systm you cant control it enough like in gta vice city.the dashboard isnt at all changed.I remember the pics we saw early on had atank in the dash i think to find out weapons and stuff.I like how spm mmode is forward and the mode together in one button.I replaced the configuration with the one from game 1 for buttons.Everything else looks the same why not same controls.I hate the turbo boost effect and the gren glow from microjam and recharge. The scanner sound should have not been used when kitt first starts to talk.I beat the first level and the third. The one with all the johnny fives from short circuit is hard. You cant lock on with your laser and i cant find a power recharge systm in that level. All in all a good game, very chalenging.I cant wait to buy it.

Yeah, I must say, the voiceovers for the first game were a LOT better. What the heck is with KARR? I thought KARR and KITT were done VERY well in the last game, considering. And Devon sounds drastically different too. Bonnie was bad in the first game too, and Micahaels all right. Garthe sounds less evil this time around.

OTHER then that, seems sweet!
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"

I hope the final version lets you use a joystick/wheel. Kind of hard to do everything by keyboard.

Jeez, the voices sounded better in the first game! The voices for Michael, KITT and KARR are passable but Garthe, Bonnie and especially Devon sound nothing like the original actors. I understand that Davilex is a relatively small gaming company but don't you think they could've scouted better voice actors? Or maybe they could've used sound clips from some of the original series episodes? That'd be awesome! I just still am amazed that with our level of technology these days that there isn't some software out there that can analyze a sample of someone's voice (whether it's a clip from a TV/movie or whether it's someone talking into a microphone) and can then imitate the voice. Oh well, the sound is ok for now I suppose. They ought to get at least David Hasselhoff and William Daniels to record their lines for the game and then release it as a sound pack add-on but that's super-wishful thinking. :-P

So for you PC guys, is it a drastic improvement or an attempt to cash in on an aging game engine and license while they can?

I got KR 1 for like $2 at a local gamestop and am thinking about trying to get my dead laptop running so I can play it, but is this one gonna be worth purchasing if a US PS2 release doesn't happen?

Well to answer your question,Yes the gam is worth purchasing.Th voice for kitt must be dante from TKR but the gamsplay is still prtty good.W'r just being nitpickers bcause we know kr all to well.W ned a nautral party to tll us what a prson who is not a die hard fan of the show thinks. How bout the members on this board who have childrn ask them?Th kids can be our test subjects as to the game itslf.

I hope the graphics are a little better in the final version. I didn't think they popped quite as much as a lot of new games now. However, I realize that quite often demos use sub-quality graphics.

Not when they are 10 days away. The UK may get this version but us in the United States will get a different version.

Byt he way check out the sound clips folders. The old Kitt from the first game has left sound clips in the folder, not to mention soem extra clips from the game and the hilarious fart track.

first make sure u have winzip. if a winzip or extractor utility doesnt not open up when u run KR2demo.zip then that means u do not have such program or a exatracting program may not associate with the zip extention.

u can get it hear http://www.winzip.com

now just extract the kr2demo.zip to a folder. I think a folder was already mentioned in the zip files directory listings. at defualt its kr2demo or
kr2(demo) i think. then goto that folder and run setup to install the game.

once the game is installed then u can delete the extract folder u made previously since thats just tempory to get the installation to read the files.

Keep the zip file however just incase u uninstall the game and decide to install it again.

has this helped ?
