Thanks, Knight Girl.
Kitt-X: I had no idea they had so many classifications for cars. I want to keep Kitt in with the "normal older cars" as long as possible due to the lower insurance rate. Unfortunately, when I start getting him show quality (if that ever happens) I'm going to need to change to a more expensive policy. I hope I'll be able to afford it when the time comes.

Do you guys hate me? No one ever answers my questions. DO YOU GET THE DISCOUNT INSURANCE PRICE FROM HAGGERTY IF YOU HAVE A EXTERIOR REPLICA?

We love ya turboman
Don't know about that one. Mine will be an exterior only when I re-insure it next year. To be registered as an exotic with Hagerty it must have an agreed value of over 15k. Mine may met that mark once fully done, but I'm gonna try once the exterior is painted marking the end of the exterior phase. I don't know how they agree on your value.
May have a local third party appraise it. With other exotics I'm sure they can go to a book and look up say a Jag XJ220 and go "yup, that qualitifies." You really can't do it with these things. If I had Rob Louisel build it for me I would have a bill of sale to use, but since I've done it all myself all I've got is current blue book to work with plus parts added.

** UPDATE **
Well, yesterday I went to pick up the car. So far so good! Today I spent about 3 hrs to wash it and clean it. I already put up a site on cardomain.com; here are a couple of pics. If you click on them it'll take to you more pics.
I also checked on a couple insurance companies for this car (looking for liability only) and they all quoted me over $300 for 6 months. So my current insurance was only $200 more every 6 months so I stayed with them (Allstate).
The actuall KITT conversion will have to wait for now.. perhaps in the beginning of next year .
Thanks all for the info!

I was reading your other post, and remember I forgot to mention something about this car.... the previous owner installed one of those alarm systems that you can start the car from the remote!
It's cool; on saturday I tried it for the first time. A guy was walking behind the car when I started it from within my apt., and he looked surprised
