Better Knight 4000?

Post by KARR Engineer » Tue May 04, 2004 4:03 pm

I was just wondering what you guys think the Knight 4000 should have been...
My choice: Uh, I just can't make up my mind. Maybe The Porsche Carrera GT prototype?

If you consider this thread stupid, just tell me.

EDIT: Modern cars apply too.

I think any future version of KITT should be a custom design, black in color, which incorporates the most distinctive features of the Knight 2000. A new KITT need not look like a futuristic '82 Trans Am, or a later-model Trans Am, or any other stock design. I'd like KITT to have a unique visual identity... one that doesn't look like the piece of crap seen in the TV movie Knight Rider 2000. :)

Yeah I agree!

I hated that bright red `huge snout car with wheels` look. And when it went into "stealth mode" You could see it from a mile away!

Of all the colours they could`ve picked and not clashed with the scanner and they pick that one!

With that nose cone it looked like it had a turning circle of 4 city blocks!

Someone ought to tell `em that the show is called "Knight Rider" and that should give `em a clue as to what colour the car should be. :D

For my own part, I would prefer to see KITT as a (black) distinctive, fresh American sourced design vehicle, much as the 82 Trans Am was in it's time. The best part is that afterward, people will see them driving around and be reminded of the "...one of a kind car... The fastest, safest, strongest car in the world."

I would like to see a slightly different version [ie better front nose] of one of these.. I think something like this particular car would bring KITT up to todays looks..

That's what I'd choose. Something sporty, but something that also doesn't look too out of this world, although they would need to do something about that nose.

Perhaps something along these lines?

That certainly is a nice model, that generation. Very sleek.

After some indepth technical discussion with sweetinsanity (she's quite clever you know) I have come to the conclusion that the new KITT MUST be AWD, with some major technical improvements over what's out there now. I mean, otherwise it wouldn't be advanced enough, you know? Check out what we are driving over here:

As it was, when I saw that KIFT was a front wheel drive, I neary choked on my popcorn. I mean, what the...? Anyway, what other realistic advances should the new KITT have? Other than weapons, and the ability to float. (yeah, right. THAT was believable)

I thought the later models of the Trans am i.e. 1990's looked like a fish!

Is the Monaro available as a AWD yet? Or is it coming? Go the Ford Territory! :-P
