Yup, best conversion plate I've seen.
The creator was offering a great deal on 'em a few months back for registry members.
He's deciding on doing the same for KARR, so when he does I'll be the first in on that.
I really hope he does. I don't really want to give Mark's custom kits $60 for a chunk of plastic when I can get a real metal plate with DMV decals for basically half.

Yeah, someone sells an aluminum piece of metal painted blue with stick on lettering. He makes them with "KITT," "KARR," and "KNIGHT."
No where near the quality of the one above but for the price it typically goes for it's good enough.
If a real KARR plate is never produced I may go the route above so I don't have to give Mark all my money.

i purchased one of mark's plates, and recieved it a few days ago. TOP NOTCH! as a college student, a converted T/A is a little out of my league until i graduate and get a job... however, as a movie/tv memerobilia collector, i had a cravin' for some KR stuff. this replica license tag is probably the BEST prop replica a fan on a budget could get... i totally recommend it, and i belive mark has a few left to sell....

Don't let college hold you back d_osborn!!
It has slowed me down but hasn't completley stoped me yet. My KARR should be just about done with (except paint) this summer.
It's been a seven year work in progress but, oh well

sounds great! i ALMOST started a replica two years ago, but i really want to wait until i am able to actually afford it, lol! i gave myself a five year goal to complete a first season KITT replica... i guess we'll see. i've restored two 71 GTO's, so old pontiacs are no problem for me... it's the interior electronics that is giving me KNIGHTmares, lol...Army_F_Body wrote:Don't let college hold you back d_osborn!!

i think you mean a shadow box. i think i almost put down a substantial bid on that universal auction for the KNIGHT plate, if it's the auction i'm thinking of.... that's cool a fan that will enjoy got it, and not some lame tv collector that would file it away, never to be seen again....Michael Pajaro wrote:"Frame" might be the wrong word. I want to put it in a small display case that can be hung up on the wall.
i compared my replica to a california plate last registered in 1982. EXACT.... any deviation in the color must have come from a flash or something. there is no difference in the colors...Benjamin Knight wrote:KITT's plate was darker, this one is too bright. Almost a sky blue.

Oh wow, did it come with a certificate of authenticity?Michael Pajaro wrote:I picked up an "actual show plate" from a Universal Studios auction a few years ago. It's been sitting on a shelf ever since- I need to get it properly framed or mounted somehow.
Which makes me wonder, how many of you have Knight Rider related plates on your cars? I always wanted to have a KITT replica with OUTATIME which would be a reference to my other fav BTTF. Anyone else?
