They may take their time with announcing their decision because the show has just premiered in some countries, such as mine, only last week!!!

So it makes sense for nbc to take their time to see how well it does in other countries first.

It was a good ride, Knight Rider. Maybe we'll see you again someday.

I predicted it would be canceled way back when NBC cut back episodes and reduced the cast. I knew that was the end. Foreign ratings didn't matter, a minor boost in ratings didn't matter, NBC/Ford's relationship didn't matter, etc. etc. etc. People were clinging onto very thin theories that it would be renewed when anyone with common sense could see it was toast when NBC immediately started scaling back the show. They remained quit so that fans could cling onto hope.

There's going to be no "when the show gets renewed for a second season we can shove it down the hater's throats" moments. I finally feel vindicated.

Yes. Mr. Marcus, it appears you were right. I hope you're happy for all the sadness this announcement has caused the people who did like the show.

Not exactly. I knew the show was doomed for cancellation right from the start. I predicted this verdict way back and the end result doesn't surprise me one bit. I can only hope for something better in the future and hopefully we won't have GST directing or Traceur behind the wheel, that's all I can say.

Not a surprise.

The signs were their in 100ft-high fiery letters for all to see.

I thought the show started off well, took a major dive in quality and then recovered to be the show it was always meant to be before GST fiddled with it.

I'll miss watching it with my nephew who loved it.

Good luck to the cast in their future endeavours.

I would not blame Traceur for any of this, he was fine really.

The only person to "blame" for the "creative failure" of the show, was GST. But even though he can be perceived as the main man... one has to be realistic and know that it was an entire production that was having their noses up in the wrong direction, starting from NBC (who green lit the concepts and scripts) all the way over to GST executive for running the show.

I for one do hope for a return of Traceur, and his trusty partner. The sooner the better *cough* SYNDICATE *sneeze*, or heck... a bunch of TV movies... 2 or 3 times a year? Works for me.

Solid Snake's right, it's not the characters... well the ones from the pilot I mean... it was GST thru and thru. But you have a point, NBC were silly to approve his ideas. Personally though, for me it's down to GST and I'll be boycotting anything he makes or has made, Vegas included. His interview with Sci-Fi Now where he's pissed at the reboot just shows he didn't like the Knight Eider formula from the word "go", so how dare he accept the job! He knew fine rightly he was wanting to make a Fast And athe Furious tv show, he shouldn't have taken it on in the first place.

Why are you blaming NBC? You should be angry with GST, not the network that gave this show a chance in the first place! Knight Rider would not have happened without NBC...

NBC agreed to the plans in the first place, they are just as much in the wrong as the man who thought they would be cool, which most likely they would be but not in a KR franchise.

He won't.

Because while the mods are awesome here in upkeeping the site, they're not as good at being Forum Officers as they are afraid/unwilling to bust heads to curtail these types of users. The mods are so good-natured, they are afraid of making anyone mad at them, it would seem.

So he, every child like him, and all the attention whores here will hang around and flourish and continue to believe their opinions, and/or their project are superior and important to you all. Pounding their chests like grade-schoolers when they serendipitously happen to be on the correct side of an argument or when they post the 50th thread(or hijack one) about the smallest update on their project.

I, for one, am done with them and, unfortunately, this site because of it. Since the show is gone, I see no reason to endure their idiotcy any longer. Gloating/complaining about a show that has been canceled, talking about the original show that has long since passed, and hoping for a maybe-to-never movie that has been trying to get started for the better part of a decade (or more, I forget when they started trying) is only interesting for so long.

To the administration and the others I've met here and have had a great time talking to, rock on. I just wish the administration here would've take a stand.

Good bye.

Well, I guess that's it, unless KR08 is somehow picked up by another network or branch of NBC. I don't think there's reason to be upset. It's just a TV show. A good one, I thought, although others may disagree, but why did these "haters" bother to register and join our little community just to put down this show? Ah, well.. I'll be waiting for a possible blu-ray release of Season One and exporing other areas of KROnline. Maybe a movie will happen after awhile.. when the dust settles as they say...

i must admit i'll still watch Chuck, but that's propably only 13 new episodes until NBC cancels that show as well. but apart from Chuck i'm done with anything NBC or Gary Scott Thompson. I'll never watch any new shows on NBC again, because getting attached only means getting disappointed when they do it wrong and cancel it afterwards.
well, they cancel it anyway, even if they get it right.
it's NBC, Nothing But Cancellations!
i'm done... well not completely.

i just want to say to Mr.Marcus: you stink! (ban me for that, i don't care!) walking around and saying "KR is doomed" and when you happen to be lucky (by making other peoply unhappy) you go and say "i told you so" in their faces. clearly with your social skills you must have many friends! i'll never understand such destructive nay-sayers as you are and i'm glad about it!!!

Well this sucks.... :(

But KI3T's not dead yet though.

My Knight Rider youtube series should be up this fall. We are franticly working on the Knight 4000 and the 3000 and I already have the 4nd draft of the script ready. Actors are tapped and on standby. Film quality digital cameras are being purchased next month.
And everything is coming together....

I know some will say "stop clinging to a false hope, yada yada", but is there any hope for maybe a possible mid-season pickup or syndication? Basically I'd like this thread to remain positive and be used for some suggestions as to a possible pickup of KR once again in light of the recent news. Will NBC listen to us?
I know it may be a stretch, but we could pull a 'Family Guy'. If you remember, Family Guy got cancelled after the first season and, because of great interest in the DVD's, it was picked back up. Anyone else think it's worth looking into?
