Season 2 = Blu-ray??

For those that may know such things, will something working out to give us a season 2 of KR08 also make it likely to get the first and any further seasons on Blu-ray? And how does having the first season air in HD relate to releasing it on Blu-ray? Is it a simple thing to achieve or is it an entirely different process?

If anything I would say that making SD DVD's is harder nowadays as the video needs to be scaled down and such. With BluRay they don't need to change anything, they could literally use the original copies of the show and put them on the disc as BluRay supports lossless PCM audio, which is uncompressed as opposed to DVD which is compressed. The only reason why they would not make BluRays is the slightly more expensive production price and smaller install base, though I would not say that 25 million sold BluRay players is a small number.
