Live Discussion - Day Turns Into Knight

Remembered one other part I really loved. When KITT tapped into all the cams and guided Mike taking down the baddies. It was very much like the scene where when they first "met" in the pilot where the guided him out of the casino. KITT should be used like a military asset since that's how this one's been built, so it was good to see that interaction.

Another thing I noticed, not only is the cast changing - but now we don't have the plane anymore either. If the rumors of the SCC going as well it really shows some type of tightening up of the entire focus of the show. I don't mind less flashy sets and more focus on Mike and KITT. I hope that's where we're headed.

I thought this episode was superb! If all of the previous episodes could be this intense with the good story coupled with great directing....people wouldn't hate on this show. I must say...I'm thoroughly impressed! This episode was great! Props to EVERYONE involved with this show. All of your talents payed off tonight!

Otherwise I think this was the best episode so far! (That'll probably change next week ) I really loved it. All the humor was right and all the drama was right. A fair balance of both. I hope Karr gets a just as good or better episode!!

This episode was the best of all of them so far. The action was well paced, and there was no lull to the action.

Also, the written departure of Carrie and Charles was well scripted, even though I wished they would have shown the plane go up.

But the last scene with Sarah not believing, and then the Knight 3000 stating they their father was gone was poignant. Mike saying it is one thing, but the Knight 3000, essentially being a quasi-sibling to Sarah, gave the line more emotional thrust. That, and I feel for them all. Charles was a great character, and I'll miss him.

Next week's ep looks fantastic.

That, and now, we finally get the answers we're looking for.

this episode was AWESOME!! now why couldn't of they started the beggining of the kr season like this???? And Andron should write all of the episodes cause so far whatever he has wrote was worth watching... the rest of the deuches have to go, nbc will save money by getting rid of the garbage writers!!!

can't wait for karr!!! and when kitt said "our father has died" that by far is brilliant!!

Charles Graiman dies in the plane....damn

Yeah it's like when they killed Devon off in the KIFT movie.

I hope this survives into a second season or more, wishful thinking probably, but killing off the founder of FLAG and his assistant in the KARR episode will probably kill any second season hopes.

I thought the same thing! They could've scored BIG brownie points with the TOS crowd, had that been included right before he shot him.
Was it just me, or did anyone else NOT mind Mike shooting up the place. It felt like the situation was more real and intense.

Great episode for the most part. Mike has the hard edge that Michael really didn't and I like it. The gun play wouldn't have fit into the original series and this series would be missing something without it. I'm really looking forward to the battle with KARR....


but I'm still absolutely livid about killing off Graiman. Absolutely stupid move. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Otherwise, very happy with both the episode and the overall progression of the series.

I thought the use of weapons was done well in this one. Now I do not think it is needed all of the time, but it looked good here.

I give the show two thumbs up and 3 out of 5 stars. Why not more than that...they killed off Dr. Graiman. Other than the end it was a great show. I can't wait till next week when KARR and KITT go at it. Go KITT! Let's get the word out and get everyone watching it of all ages and generations!

I liked the episode - overall, it wasn't bad. I don't believe it was as good as the first episode in this mini-arc, though.

I didn't expect to see Carrie make a return - it almost didn't make sense. The explosion from the last episode seemed to obliterate the warehouse entirely - I expected Carrie to be vaporized in the blast, but she returns with little more than an rib in jury? I mean, I understand the severity of her injury, but after being caught in a HUGE explosion, I'd expect that to be the least of her worries (the biggest worry being, well, death).

I did like the fact that she contributed to the plotline with the Valdor thing, and I did like the fact that she was actually still alive at the episode's end, despite the circumstances not making sense. I'd love to see her become a villain - she was sent into a dangerous situation and suffered some serious consequences because the SSC couldn't contact her due to the bubble. She doesn't know that the SSC tried to get through to her - she didn't know about Mike and the bomb situation. She could resent Mike and the SSC for not coming to her aid, and this could twist into something worse over time because of her being out of commission. I dunno - I think it'd be interesting, but the actress probably won't be back on the show, so...

I loved the turbo boost and the entire opening scene. Great stuff. Turbo boost was seriously awesome and I loved the landing with the sparks from KI3T's underside.

KI3T crashing through the gate = win. We knew it'd happen, but I liked the suspense and the way they set it up.

The CG plane looked awesome. Really liked what they did with it when it landed on the highway.

I loved KI3T's line to Sarah at the end: "Sarah....our father is dead." It had a delayed impact on me.

Mike.....near the end of the episode, he shoots a lot of people (which at first kind of bothered me, but given the severity of the situation and the urgency, it made sense and I accept it) but I don't know, I'd maybe like to see an episode sometime (maybe in season 2, if by some miracle it comes) that addresses Mike's seeming nonchalance to killing. I understand that he's a soldier, but I don't really like his attitude to killing - it almost seemed as though he was enjoying himself as he did it. (Although, really, this theme was present through the entire episode, with Mike loving the thrill, so maybe it was just part of that...) I also thought that Mike was a little crass when leaving Sarah with the bomb, and I'm not really sensitive to that kind of stuff, so I was surprised. When KI3T said "Mike, I need to talk to you," I was actually hoping that KI3T would reprimand Mike for his actions!

I didn't really mind this - it was his attitude to the whole thing that I didn't like. I can tolerate him being detached from killing; he's a soldier. But I don't know - he seemed as though he was maybe enjoying himself? I could be wrong. I probably am....but I guess I just got that vibe near the end. I think it was the line "they let me shoot the bad guys". It was a joke, but it almost seemed true.

But hey....overall, it was a pretty thrilling episode, and I enjoyed myself watching it. Next week is gonna rock!

Not only was it a great line, but Kilmer's delivery was fantastic. I genuinely felt sad once he said that because it was so true. It is odd to think about it, but in a way KITT is Sarah's brother.

Well I for one was kinda disappointed I thought last weeks episode was better and really wish Torres would have got it before Graimen and Ravi. I wanted Graimen to have to deal with KARR at least . Well anyways I did enjoy it being the hard core fan I am. Another bummer is no VFX of the bomb exploding or the plane crashing!?! What is the point? I thought the KITT cave self destruct with all of them going at once would have been better now. Oh well will be anticipating next Wednesday.

Loved the episode..liked last weeks a BIT more but thats still saying a lot.

Mainly, I think the Graiman death thing was stupid. I wanted to see him go out in a more epic fashion. To me it seems basically that he died trying to save... a C130.

At first I felt Ki3t's "our father is dead" line was a bit creepy lol, but thinking about it later, its a good line.

Look forward to next week though I'll probably have to VCR it to watch as I arrive home right as it ends..LOL.

I just wanna know if that preview show Karr in 'stang form! There's one part where the scanner looks either dark yellow or orange red. I can't tell if it's supposed to be Karr or it's just Kitt turning a wierd color because of the angle >.<
