there are a LOT of Hoff fans that will also tune into this show if he appears. there are also a good majority that don't watch it just because he's not there.

Looks good Tony! The only thing I might change is that the DVR data is recorded and Nielsen has that data. When analyzed KR is doing very well indeed. They just do not include that data in with the regular numbers.

I wanted to point out that everybody is saying that it has jumped so much in the last two days but it wasn't really documented much that two weeks ago in the two days after the show the signature count went up about a whole 500-1000 signatures (I can't remember the exact number) but I think that the signatures kind of dwindle Sunday through Tuesday and boom for Wednesday to Saturday.

Looks like you did an excellent job Tony.

I thought I should update everyone on the status of the petition.

I unfortunately could not print and mail it this morning.

I was unaware there was a fee to download the petition for printing; I had to clear spending the money with my wife. Luckily she likes KR.

So I finally was able to download the petition, at that time it had about 5825 signatures, and was 257 pages long.

After a trip to Staples (for paper and toner) I was ready to print it, when I realized more peole had signed it.
So.... here is the status currently the petition is at 5879 when it hits 5880 I will download it again and print it over night.

The package is addressed and ready to go - the certified number is going to be:
7007-2680-0002-9294.

I am sorry for the delay but I think the extra signatures will only help the cause.

I think patience throughout the fandom is what we need...

One thing, the line about the first ten episodes should be changed to either the first nine, maybe even eight since there was a lot of people who hadn't been all too fond of the series that started to change their tune after Knight Fever aired. Maybe you should wait until it hits 6,000? It's not that far off now...

But like I said before, I still think it would be better to wait until a few days after the last episode airs. The other issues though I won't bother repeating.

The petition will now be mailed on Monday Febuary 23, 2009 at 10:00 EST. The people who took the time to vote on the petition survey voted it would go at 5000 signatures. Majority of the voting population decides, if there was an objection to the number 5000 more people should have voted.

Here is what I will do, I am just now going to bed. I was planning on getting up in 4 hours to mail the petition. But I will wait until monday to honor Phoenixzeros comment,

Before I leave I will print the remaining signatures and adjust the cover letter to properly reflect the number of signatures.

it's great, thanks for doing this tony. get some rest! seems it has 6004 signatures, as of this posting.

It's at 6023 so maybe by Moday we will have around 6200 if Tony prints it again but if not the number that Tony had when he went to print it the other day is still a great number. But if we aren't going to reprint it I think that we should close the petition from any further signatures.

Edit: I somehow had missed that Tony was going to print off the additional signatures before he leaves on Monday but I do think that we need to close the petition after it is sent to make sure that no one signs and won't get seen. This is just my opinion so if we do leave it open it won't be a big deal.

It'd be better to leave it open, especially since we are still a week and a half away from the final episode. It'll be interesting to see how many more people sign it in that time. I voted 10,000 on the poll and despite my opinions on online petitions, I think that at this point I think it could make it. It'd be good if NBC was made more aware of it.

Hey everybody, first time poster but long time listener here, wanted to say i made sure to sign it , because as i see it i think kr 08 deserves a second season, i know its not perfect but what new show is, it cannot satisfy everybody but it definitely has lots of potential and has really improved, plus its way better then a lot of the reality crap that is shoved down are throat these days on so many channels, I will keep my fingers crossed that we as a knight nation can make a difference.

The petition was printed and mail via US Priority Mail with signature confirmation.

The petition was mailed with 6171 signatures.
The petition will remain open until March 9, 2009.
Below you will find the final cover letter sent with the petition.
I will print what ever signature are added between now and March,9,2009 and send those under seperate cover.
I hope this has some impact on the networks desicision.
