The scene where Michael & KITT stop next to a pumpjack to analyse semi tread marks, and where they do a reverse 180' is located on Del Valle Rd, Newhall, CA,

Just had a little thought after posting the above location, and had a little looksie for another scene from The Wrong Crowd and sure enough, the scene where we see Michael & KITT (in convertible mode) do a 180' by the hitchhiker was also filmed on Del Valle Rd, but further west along it.

The location of the 180' is;

Just realised, as I was about to post some more locations from this episode that I never posted the location of the scene where KITT Micro Jam’s the motorcycles, anyway… this was filmed on Del Valle Road, the same stretch where Michael & KITT pull the 180 and zip up for SPM.

The stretch of road the semi is on here just prior to the hijacking (and the road to the left in the image above), is the approximate location where Michael, Devon and KITT in Knight of the Phoenix come to a screeching halt just after KITT has shown off by overtaking a semi on Auto Cruise.
