The hijack scenes were filmed on the old Golden State Highway heading towards Pyramid Dam and Pyramid Lake, Piru Creek, San Emigdio Mountains (just north of Castaic).

These locations were also used for the hijacking scenes in the episode ‘Knight Moves’.

The scene where we see Michael arriving at a motel (staying in Room 3), and where he unknowingly bumps into Lucy Sanderson, was filmed at the Panarama Motel in Van Nuys.

The swimming pool has since been filled in, but the outline and palm trees remain.

Took a little bit of finding this one… but Frank and Lucy Sanderson’s house is literally located right behind ‘Chucks Cafe’ (now Le Chêne, a French restaurant) from Steven Spielberg’s ‘Duel’.

It is located off of Sierra Vallejo Rd (property runs parallel to the Sierra Highway).

Vance’s house, where Michael realises that Frank’s wife Lucy is having an affair with Vance Burke, is located on the corner of Begonias Lane/Corales Place, Canyon Country, Santa Clarita CA 91387

On a side note… I wonder if that’s the same hanging basket?

A surprisingly easy find was the location of the scene where Michael and KITT are buried alive, this was filmed at the Curtis Sand & Gravel pit on Lang Station Road (off Soledad Canyon Road), Santa Clarita.

The actual specific location looks to have been filled back in, but the road KITT drives down to rescue Michael is still visible on Google Earth but is now situated below the level of the area where they’re later bulldozed and buried.

Very nice location finds :)
This is one of my favourite episodes as my dad was working in construction field, driving bulldozers, loaders, etc. "big iron" at the time when this episode aired here :)
