Introducing the show....
Okay, so my roommate has never seen Knight Rider, and wants to see an episode. I have the first 3 seasons, what would you say is the best episode to show him? He's probably not all at that interested in the story and he may very well never see another episode again, so Knight of the Phoenix probably isn't worth it. What's a good exciting episode you all think shoudl introduce someone to Knight Rider?
You all should be able to have fun with this one.

Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

How about A Good Knight's Work, it goes to the Michael's & Foundation history making your roommate wondering about the show, who's Tanya Walker and who's grave was Michael Long's, what were those shooting in the face flashbacks etc. Maybe your roommate would want to see the show from the beginning then

Knight of The Phoenix is a good choise because of the fact that it introduces you to the show. Nevertheless, it's a very boring episode and I think that your friend will find it the same way.
So what episode do I consider to be the best one for you to show your friend?
Well, as some of you already mentioned, it's not a good idea to show him an episode were Kitt gets destroyed! It sort of ruins the whole idea with "the indistructuble car".
My advice would be:
Show him atleast 1 episode from each season (4 in total):
If you are restricted in time, you could split the episodes by showing a small bit from each.
Season 1:
A Nice Indecent Little Town (Lots of chasing = exciting)
Season 2:
Custom Kitt (Stands out from all episodes = a new way of thinking for the show)
Season 3:
Buy Out (Great background music and interesting investigations = encourages your friend to watch the final season as well)
Season 4:
Redemption of a Champion (Lots of fighting = I love Knight Rider)
I hope this helps...

Michael: Kitt what matters to me is who you are not what you look like. Sure we don't have the car so we can't turbo boost so we can't go over 200 miles an hour but it was all icing on the cake anyway

I'd go with "A Good Knight's Work".
A true classic, a brief refresher on the Knight Rider backstory included -- and loads of action!

haha...Well I forgot to bring KR back with me from home, so we have more time to decide.
A Good Knight's Work isn't a bad idea if for no ther reason than the humorous interchange with that talking Bear and KITT, along with a genuinely good episode.
I LOVE the chase scene in A Nice Indecent Little Town with one of the exceedingly rare Turbo Boosts shown at normal speed - wheich they should have done more often.
The KARR ones are always good....
It's tough choice. A lot of the ones I find exciting and I'll show to someone and notice that, to an "uneducated" person, they really aren't all that exciting.

Unlucky ME
Oh woe is me... Since I haven't seen a single KR episode in 3 years (Yep, don't have the dvd's... either pity me or sponsor me, I refuse to download... But soon I'll have them...) the "characters" that stick out are
1st: CARR,
2nd: Goliath,
3rd: the acid!
(I remember the pain of seeing KITT in danger...)
I think everyone (even those who never seen KR) already knows the basic KR lore: Kitt is "supposedly" indestuctable, can drive by himself, can talk and can turboboost... why not build from that?
Final Vote from me :
"Trust doesn't rust" - Keep Kitt Vs Karr for if (sorry... when) there is more interest...
"Goliath pts 1&2" - Keep Juggernaut for later(same reason)
