ok kitts shell was made from a mbs, so how come in knight of the juggernaught a spray could suddenly turn it from a mbs to just an odinary every day car shell, the formula which made the shell cant suddenly disappear
im warning you devon im going to put this thing to the test

that spray was a neturaliser it must have just mixed with the elements of the MBS and then started pulling them apart.

I remember they said something that the MBS was cracked or something and thus became useless. It wasn't gone, it was still there, but rendered useless as the chemical spray disrupted the MBS' coheasion and thus it's ability to protect.

I always thought it was strange that Kitt did not notice what it was doing to his shell.
You would think his scanner would pick it up!

Indeed, and it can make sense if you assume the programmers overlooked the shell of the car itself in the scanning programming, though in some episodes he spots things and others not.
