David Injured

Post by psvl6 » Fri Jun 30, 2006 12:18 pm

The former 'Baywatch' star - who is in London filming an advertising campaign - severed a tendon in his hand and had to be rushed to St Thomas' Hospital by ambulance.
The 53-year-old's spokeswoman, Judy Katz, told BANG Showbiz: "David had just finished working out in the gym at the hotel where he was staying. He was getting ready to shave and bent down but when he stood up David hit his head on a glass shelf and it shattered.
"Some of the glass got into his hand and cut it quite badly." She added: "The fact that he needs surgery to repair a tendon suggests it was quite a nasty cut, but he's in surgery right now, and hopefully not in too much pain." Hasselhoff is best known for his roles as Mitch Buchannon in 'Baywatch' and Michael Knight in the hit 80s TV show 'Knight Rider'.

I would like to wish David a speedy recovery.

Oh geez, that's awful. I hope the surgery went well and everything heals good.

Ouch, that's got to really hurt!
I think he'll be fine, and I'm glad his situation got taken care of right away.
Even so, I think he'd better be careful of glass shelves in a bathroom from now on, and/or chandeliers.
OK, I also wish DH well with a speedy recovery, too.

Wishing him a speedy recovery. I once had 3 stitches in the part of my hand below the thumb, near the wrist, near some viens. I got lucky and missed the major ones but the cut was so deep that when the stitches came out a week later, the cut popped open (but didn't bleed). Eventually it healed up. No scar, can't even tell where it was cut. But boy, did it hurt for awhile! Somehow the muscle would twitch in pain due to the injury. Kept me awake some nights. :( Lost 11 days from work and had to move from an apartment I was in, as well. In fact, it was how I hurt it - cut it with a knife accidentally while cutting twine to bind boxes, bins, etc.

I can sympathize with David. Deep cuts in the hand are NO FUN! Hopefully he won't have much pain with this one.

I don't get it. Now it's a chandelier? Why would he be shaving in a gym bathroom (then again, I guess some would, after showering, etc.) but WHY was there a chadelier in the bathroom. That I don't understand. Then again, being in the USA and not very rich, I never been in a bathroom with a chandelier in it. )

Uh, I think of that accident as a souvenir of his latest visit in London that he didn't need but got anyway.
Ouch! :?

You should see the bathrooms in hotels in London.

A chandalier in the bathroom indicates that it's only a 2 star hotel.

Earl Grey normally comes out of the taps and everything in 5 star ones.

(You do have to be careful when using the bidet though - don't use the "4 sugars" setting - can be a little embarrassing when you get up after sitting on the bed and the linen follows you round the room...)
