KITT's Sound Effects - Which is your favourite?

Simple poll. I've added the more common sounds. Which is your favourite, and why?

When you first heard these sound effects, how did you feel?

I'm sure I've missed some others, but ten poll options is plenty already.

Feel free to mention them below. By the way, I haven't included KITT's voice as the majority of that effect was William Daniels.

Surprisingly, the Speedometer ticking sound always did it for me. Just thinking about makes me feel speed for some reason.

for me speedometer... remember the final of "soul survivor" episode... KITT to MK: "¡que sensación de libertad!" and the speedometer sound...

I like the scanner sound. It gives an indication of the presence of artificial intelligence, which is what for me is so intriguing about KITT

Turbo Boost, no question....whenever I watch KITT flying through the air with that sound going...man...that's good stuff!!!
One of the best Turbo Boosts ever...KITTNap...Kitt jumps from the top level of one parking garage to another...awesome!!!

Is there a all option! KITT isn't KITT without all his sounds. It creates that Knight 2000 thrill!

OMG@!!!!! i gota go with the Moderator , I LOVE that Ticking sound . just as he said it gives me a sence of speed . I get a rush felling .

Just like in quake 3 when u hit someone it makes a honking noise .

With that speedomiter , it makes me think kitt is capable of high speeds . And especialy when it makes that sound play for soo long that u sometimes wonder "damn how fast can he keep on going!!!"

Aw man, I like so many sounds, I'll just talk about some of my favorites. Okay one, the scanner sound, that gave KITT a mystic kind of a supernatural presence or aura about KITT. The speedometer ticks, oh yeah, I agree with Neps. It gives me the feel of speed. I also like that sound the accelerator makes when it lights up. Another cool thing about KITT was his 'powering up' sounds. Though they changed throughout the seasons, he always had cool powering up sound effects. Some of them made KITT sound like an 80's video game. Oh, also I love that turbo boost sound when KITT is flying through the air.

The laser shooting sound You can get in MS Powerpoint 2000 as one of the animation sounds.

For me, there is nothing like the sound of that sweet turbine engine. I wish I could get my '87 Firebird to have that sound.

KITT's turbine reminds me of an airline engine. Clearly KITT's turbine is the sound of power.

Either the orginal KITT turbine start up, from KotP, or the sound he makes when all the SPM stuff pops out.

I wish I could get my '87 Firebird to have that sound

I like all the sounds mentioned above, but i like the Turbo Boost sound the most.The scanner is great too, so is the sppedometer

the scanner noise obviously is right up there, and having to choose between it and turbo boost it really hard, after all the scanner sound IS knight rider, ya know? but i voted turbo boost, not the "whoosh" sound as he leaves the ground but that fantastic noise as he is in the air that first appeared in short notice. such power it seems to exude!

My favorite sound is either the sound of the Colonial Viper's engine when the pilot presses the Turbo button -- I mean the sound of KITT's engine when the driver presses the Turbo Boost button -- or when the Cylons' glowing red scanner swishes back and forth -- I mean when KITT's glowing red scanner swishes back and forth.

It's gotta be the beloved scanner sound for me. It's unique and gives K.I.T.T. an identity of his own. "Keep your scanners peeled" [wooowoooo].

Hearing that you know KITT's on the job and nothing can get by without being detected.

The engine charge during the initiation of Super Pursuit Mode runs a close 2nd for me. Hearing KITT charge up like that with all kinds of things popping out of him is JUST FLAT OUT AWESOME! It gets me pumped up every time I hear it because you know KITT's about to pump out some serious speed!

And it's coming a modest 1st position too.. I agree with Lost Knight, "Keep your scanners peeled, buddy" is a great Knight Rider-ism..
