Re:

On the contrary, Pontiac was actually excited to be a part of Knight Rider at the time. In fact, they donated the first two 3rd generation Trans Ams off the assembly line to the show. Also, Pontiac frequently donated Trans Ams to the show that were involved in minor accidents and were not legally a...

Are retractable headlamps going out of fashion? Perhaps...perhaps not. Manufacturers sometimes "cut corners" or shall we say, cut production costs. Rectractable headlights often cost more to produce than conventional fixed ones because they have a motor plus many moving parts. One advanta...

I see. I don't think that would be possible FuzzieDice. We don't know what it would look like, and the show never gave us a chance to see KITT's engine bay up close.

What I don't know is if the engine is really accurate. It looks sorta like a Crossfire V8 to me. Didn't KITT actually have a Knight Industries Turbine engine? The actual KITT used a Chevy 350 IIRC, replacing the stock Crossfire 305 V8. And KITT never had a turbocharger as suggested by the model. KI...

Fabulous!!! The detail is exquisite!! Look at that engine bay, everything is reproduced with accurate detail! Even if the prototype is unpainted, it still looks awesome! I can't wait to see the painted model. It seems that they used the 2-TV version, cool!! This is indeed a dream come true!

The main reason why Pontiac was reluctant in making their Trans Ams as KITT cars in general is because they were constantly being swamped by calls from fans asking if modifications were possible....modifications that included a turbo-boost, a bullet-resistant shell, a flame thrower, an oil-slick gad...

Let's not get violent guys, let's face it. Knight Rider 2000 didn't quite agree with the majority of older fans although it did entertain the younger generation. It's just a matter of preference and taste. I personally didn't like the part where Devon was killed, him having been a permanent part of ...

That large hole looks like a very large cigarette burn! Michael (or Bonnie) probably has a preference for smoking some ultra large varieties of cigarettes!! NOT!! Just kidding! It's a wonder how those holes came to be. And why didn't the production staff change it to newer PMD seats, they weren't th...

Yup! We're from the same region alright :) That brings us at a disadvantage if we're buying things from the US, such a long distance to cover. The cheapest alternative is USPS surface mail, wherein the parcel travels by ship. But surface mail cannot be insured and it usually takes 1 to 2 months befo...

I've bought a lot of items in ebay...around 30+ items, specially from US sellers...and I'm from the Philippines, half a world away (think of the shipping expenses I have incurred). Here are some tips for you in order to make your transactions as safe as possible. 1. Check out the seller's feedback. ...

Nice pictures you have at your yahoo site Imranbecks. I'd also love to post pictures of my collection, unfortunately I haven't saved enough yet to buy a decent digital camera. It will have to wait, I am currently saving up for the upcoming 1/18 KITT release. Regarding the talking Kenner KITT, anybod...

I have a 1/18 diecast car collection, a very small one but it includes the following: The DeLorean Time Machine (with Mr. Fusion fuel package); a white 1967 Big Block Corvette and a black Lamborghini Murcielago. When the 1/18 KITT becomes available, I will definitely add it to my 1/18 scale collecti...

I think this model will beat the 1/43 scale diecast Aoshima KITT because of the features. I wonder what dashboard will the 1/18 KITT have? Will it be the 2 tv dashboard or the 1 tv dashboard?? When it comes to size, the 1/18 scale KITT will definitely win in that category when compared to the Aoshi...

A lot of people have the "KNIGHT" license plates...actually a lot of people all over the world. It's because its so famous that people actually bid on them in ebay (most of them reproductions). But I don't think people in the US can actually use them on their vehicles because it still is a...

This KITT auction will most likely attract museums or rich eccentric individuals who would rather display the car rather than actually drive it. Take into account that it is highly modified to perform stunts, hence the 2-gallon gas tank replacement. If the one buying it would like to drive it to wor...

This is indeed good news! I will definitely get one for myself and display it next to my talking Kenner KITT (although i know the scale will be different, the Kenner KITT is about 1/13 in scale). I hope that the new KITT would have detachable t-tops, i will try to cram my Michael Knight doll in it.....

Based on the closeup pics, that thing on KITT's nose is some sort of rear spoiler. It definitely does not belong there, why would they do that? Probably somebody's idea of a sick joke? And the interior of the car is also a joke! No wonder they didn't bother putting barricades around the car, it just...

Knight Rider 2000...a really sad way of ending a great series. Yeah it was a reunion movie for the original cast minus Patricia Macpherson (Bonnie), but it had an awful script. Not to mention the crappy car that they used as KITT's reincarnation (KIFT)...and they colored it RED! No other color can b...

That picture did come from the 2002 AMT/ERTL model kit reissue. The manufacturer probably doesn't have a prototype car ready yet for picture taking purposes. Let's just all hope that the 1/18 scale KITT car does come into fruition in the near future...it will surely be a worthwhile addition to anybo...
