I may go back and spend more time on it, or just come up with something different.

BTW, I'm loving the winter theme neps!

To me it seems out of character for KITT, but that made it all the more funny. Oh, and once when I was younger we had this huge old fan set up in my garage. Somehow I ended up touching it (I think on a dare...it had been known to bite back before), and it sent a huge surge through my body that felt....

I saw it around '92 or '93...man, some good times. Really cool how you could sit inside and ask "KITT" (or an actor that didn't quite sound like William Daniels) a few questions. Did anyone ever try to stump him? ;)

I didn't know they had it displayed as recently as the late '90s...wow.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it, neps. And yes, David looks pretty good there for his age. Aside from Knight Rider, I most recently saw him in Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD. Just for fun, a snippet from a reader's review of said film, courtesy imdb.com: I mean, a one dimensional acto...

I always thought the turbo boost sequence from season 2 was a bit excessive. I actually liked how we saw clips on the monitor from the first season's opener, especially the one of KITT driving at night (view from a helicopter, I think).

Didn't the opening theme music change slightly in season 3 or 4?

That car kinda bears a resemblance to Tom Cruise's Lexus in Minority Report: http://www.motortrend.com/motor/autoshows/coverage/112_0309_frnk_g4002_25_z.jpg http://dondormeyer.photofolio.com/images/f102/i4028-b.jpg In profile: http://199.239.248.45//images/full/2002/s2002020701/lx2001minorityreportc...

Unfortunately, the individual states had different views of the law. The mandatory seatbelt act, for example, didn't go into full force until 1987 in New Mexico. So you have to go deeper than the standard law database, and concentrate on the individual states. Hence "a little research," e...

I remember Michael and a passenger fastening the old-style lap belts in one episode - no shoulder straps though. That and the aforementioned racing style belts seem to be all we have to go on as far as KITT and seat belt usage is concerned. As for seat belt laws, a little research turned up this fac...

Perhaps, but KITT's graphics were Intellivision, not Atari. Literally. Okay, but ColecoVision dominated both systems, hehe. Well, I don't think it was the writers fault, but rather the Directors and Producers. Right-o, my mistake. They'd also recycle graphics and still images used for KITT's monito...

Interesting theory, guys! I don't buy it, based on the apparent graphics display capabilities of KITT...there were several instances where KITT would project a computer-generated rendering of other cars or of bodies behind a wall, and these "graphics" were about as good as an Atari...

Although it wouldn't be a match for KITT (more like a joke, actually), I loved that bad-ass SUV from Tango & Cash. Anyone remember this thing? My steel trap is rusty, but I think it was bulletproof, and it had a nice big gun that shot things up real good...can't remember any other specs. It was ...

Of all of KITT's technologies, I think I've been most fascinated by the MBS. Aside from being generally indestructable, imagine never having to worry about nicks, dents, and scratches again...I would save a ton in car insurance! I wonder if anything close to this is possible today, disregarding conv...
