You may notice that Knight Rider features rather prominently on her website. It appears that she's just as proud of her KR work as we are of her! Looking great, April...I mean...Rebecca.

I like it, especially since you apparatently used a car you already have, all except the neon and the headlight covers. Blue is cool with the white.

...I think that was the air cleaner cover. But you're right in principle. Turbines also don't sound like big V8s on takeoff, but KITT does most of the time, until he reaches higher speeds. Then the "whine" of the turbine takes over more. I think it depends on whether you're talking about a...

The frame would be the tuning fork, which would, in theory, vibrate upon impact with another object. The tires, wheels and suspension would be like the hand that stops the resonation of the tuning fork after it has been struck. I understood what you meant, though. Strange, isn't it, that in the show...

The interesting thing about all of this is that, in order to crash through the rigid barriers as he did in the show, KITT would have had to have very high rigidity. That is, any flexing would have absorbed part of the energy necessary to penetrate other rigid objects. Yet, materials with higher yiel...

I liked Bonnie in sexy dresses, but I don't know if she would have looked right in extra short shorts... Anyway, let's give the Dukes some credit, eh? KITT-like AI entity in Speaker for the Dead

KITT and Jane sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g, haha. Ok, here's what this is all about. Orson Scott Card, the author of the much-acclaimed Ender Wiggin series which begins with Ender's Game , wrote a sequel entitled Speaker for the Dead . I need not go into all the details, but in this book, a senti...

Hmmm. Well, I originally intended to go to college to learn computer science. However, Marshall University doesn't exactly have the greatest comsci department. It does, however, have a quite respectable English department. Having long since fallen in love with chivalry (even when I didn't know it) d...

Well, DH's acting might have a distinctly sharp cheddar flavor, but I have to give MK a little credit for having more brains than some have said. It was he in TDR that figured out how to defeat KARR, when neither Devon, KITT nor Bonnie had a better solution. In Give Me Liberty, he remained on the ca...

I made the distinction because I'm not sure any studio will actually take it up.
You made the prediction that a studio will take on Knight Rider this year.
I just think we'll know one way or the other this year, but I have no idea which way it will go.

I'm not as confident as Mike that a studio will definitely take the job this year, but I do believe we'll know for sure whether the movie is going to be put into production before the year is up. That's my rather conservative prediction.

Jab at DOH/General Lee in "Give me Liberty..."

I apologize if this has been mentioned before but I noticed a serious of suspicious coincidences in the episode. It features a bright orange charger driven by two redneck guys--one blonde, the other darker--who have rebel flag patches on their shirts, like the General had on its roof. Am I just loon...

KITT-like turbine technology for homebuilders?

Hello all. As most of you are well aware, KITT incorporated turbine technology in his powertrain as a means of obtaining high power and efficiency levels in a small package. Some home builders actually make turbojets and turboshaft engines from old car and diesel turbochargers to power karts like th...
